Introduction

#1 Post by SaintMeerkat »

Greetings, fellow gamers.

I have been gaming since my cousin introduced me to AD&D in 1979. With the exception of my grad school years and the honeymoon phase of marriage number 2, I have been gaming pretty much continuously. I taught school for 21 years, and I had an after school gaming club at every one.

During the D20 boom, I GM'ed a lot at large and small conventions for the Living Greyhawk, Blackmoor, & Pathfinder Society campaigns, authoring one adventure each for LG and Blackmoor.

During my time with the Blackmoor campaign, I contributed to their Player's Guide and their monthly newsletter.
I also wrote one Pathfinder adventure each for LPJ designs and Purple Duck.

I've run D&D 1e -3.5e, Pathfinder 1E, Call of Cthulhu 5E and 7E, Savage Worlds, Star Wars (REUP), DCC RPG and a short series of one shots of Dark Heresy.

In addition to the games listed above, I have played GURPS and Thousand Suns.

I am eager to learn new systems, as well as play some of my old favorites.

Krikey that’s quite a resume! :)
Welcome!! Sorry it took a bit for the first post approval. After the second approval you won’t see such delays!
Be well!!
This is a game about killing things and taking their stuff so you can become more powerful in order to kill bigger things and take even better stuff.
Alethan: I'm good with NOT pressing our luck this time.
mjulius: That's how I know I'm home.
Pulpatoon: The whole point of PbP is to take the scheduling pressure off the game. We're just chatty because we're so eager!
Scott308: ...everyone should be reminded of just how wonderful the people they play games with here can be in real life.
Leitz: Quality and quantity wise, I think US is the best I've seen.
Paladin: I can promise terror, glory, and riches...or a quick and brutal death.
Inferno: Come on! That's was Vicar's Head, a completely different doomed village!
Rex: I can move to the wait list to let someone else into the game.

Welcome aboard! Congrats on being able to play fairly continuously for all that time! Many of us (but not all) have big gaps where we stopped for a number of years before getting back into the hobby, myself included.
Sometimes this summer I will most likely be participating in another 24 hour game of Dungeons & Dragons as part of Extra Life. This organization uses gaming to help raise money to donate to children's hospitals. I'm raising money for Marshfield Children's Hospital in Marshfield, WI, and all money I raise will go to that hospital. All donations are tax-deductible. Please take a moment to check out my donation page below. Thank you.
