Giving up trying to take over the units the man simply sends the drone crashing into the remaining unit. If possible it will come close to Tal and hit it head on, that way if it swerves to miss the drone it will also have to miss Tal.

Tel whistles appreciatively at the sudden carnage. "Thanks, folks!"

What sort of progress is Tel making on the truck?

Isaac C. Heinlein, star marine

Ike veers up again to avoid possible fire and get an aerial view of the situation.

Having only glanced the security vehicle due to ducking from shards of glass, Axel curses: "Blasted non-vested option son of a takeover". He then turns the bus around to try and get to the truck and check its cargo.

My bad! I thought I'd replied already!

The observation drone slams into the third security vehicle, bending its weapon-and-scanner mast badly. The drone itself, hardly more than the quad-rotors available to anyone today, shatters, scattering bits of metal and glass across the parking lot. With its sensors jacked up, the security vehicle veers sharply and slams into a light post, stopping dead.

The crippled security vehicle that Axle hit swings around for another run at Tel, wobbling on a bent rim. It opens fire, the rounds tearing through the upper part of the cargo box, well above Tel's head.

Upon hearing the impact of bullets, Tel scrabbles under the truck, looking for safe cover. She yells out, "Flying Knife! Target that car!"

Looking up from his typing the man takes back the wheel with a wink. Accelerating he heads towards Tel's position and attempts a bootlegger turn to prepare for heading back out.

Tel's Flying Knife swoops in on the crippled security vehicle, slashing both tires on the left side. This causes it to spin out, bursting the last tire and leaving it stopped facing the wrong way.

Breeze's car pulls a perfect bootlegger, marred only by the fact that the rear bumper 'thumps' into an overturned display case, scattering glass and broken watches.

Ike, spacemen

Ike swoops down in his saucer and fires his tractor beam at the wheel of any remaining truck.

Parked and ready the man begins working on scanning for any other transmissions.

With Ike yanking off tires, the last of the security vehicles is disabled- although it continues trying to aim and fire (despite being upside-down).

SamanEric's truck is pretty shot up, but may be repairable, if you choose to go that way. In the cargo box is a neatly stacked mass of gold bullion (never mind how much right now, it's a LOT). There is a small locked compartment in the front of the box. Inside is a duffle bag of clothing, an M16A3 rifle with no ammunition, a .50 Sharps Buffalo rifle with 8 cartriges, two boxes of freeze-dried military rations (about a week's worth of meals), and a 5-gallon can of fresh water.
Alert! I have intercepted comms from two more security vehicles! ETA 1 hour.

Tel considers the security vehicles. Could they be cannibalized to get the truck moving again?

There are defininitely salvage-able items on the security trucks. Whether any of them can be used is another matter.

Each of the security trucks has: some usable tires (way too small for SamanEric's truck)
An electrical fuel cell that serves as a solid-state battery and power source.
A .30 caliber autmatic that can be demounted
A _Total_ of 200 rounds of belt-fed ammo for the .30's
body panels
wide-spectrum cameras tied into a computer
electric drive motors for the wheels

On close inspection, the trucks are all in sketchy condition, apparently having had no maintenance in 10-15 years.

I'm going to Who-Yer-Con this weekend, so I'll probably be out of contact until Monday.

Axel whistles: "Wow, this guy is serious about his looting. I haven't seen this much gold since my ex-wife learned that it was the new bathroom color of choice."

"Lana, looking at the amount here, a few questions:
A) Would it fit in the bus?
2) Would the bus be able to drive afterwards?
D) How long would it take to transfer?"

While Lana is calculating, Axel will toss the other goods from the truck into the bus.

No more than half of this load can safely be loaded onto the bus. It will take approximately 4 hours to do so.

What information can be accessed on the transport? Perhaps if it can be determined that it is large enough it could be taken and used...

All you can get about Transport One is that it exists, and it's on the way.

What about the weight to pull the load? Do our vehicles have enough umph to do it?

Ike's saucer isn't much help with the load :(

You should be able to get the load distributed among the vehicles so it can be taken back to the Highway. Best estimate is 12 hours.
