To Tenebaum: "The Kmarties, are they your slaves, now?"

Fr. Tenebaum says to Idonea,

Lutha:

Walks over to the leader of our group (Who is it ? I've lost track) and reports:

"Our goblin friend can't say how many they are in total. But he came from a guard room round the corner.

Secondly, behind the portcullis door lies, I quote, 'the cave'. And finally, down the Eastern fork are "the Hobs" plus a treasure chest.

That's all I could get out of him. Seems the road to hell is paved with gold!. Or gold...paved with hell..ehm"

Then turns to admire Wolfram's new mace

It is Borum, whom i believe may be taken over by our newest player FronkyDondo, whom will also play Wexley now!

"I seriously doubt that this holy man is telling the truth Idonea. I wouldn't waste the time trying to ge honesty out of him.

Unless you are willing to do things that only the guild of thieves do."

Mort, like Komak, still has his sword at the fathers throat.

Listens still holding the sword up as if to finish off the father.

"Better start tellin' the truth father I can't hold this sword for long. Ooo it's slipping....", a grim smile still on his face.

Borum (Dw Cleric):
"I advise we beat a hasty retreat to a more secure location, or even back to the keep. I don't know what else is lurking about, and we are in need of rest. Cool mace..." Eyes Tenenbaum's mace mendaciously...

Wexley (Elf MU/T):
"That might be a good idea (panting)... I'm going to continue watching down the adjacent corridors for any activity..."
Wexley is anxiously looking all around and listening for any new threats...

Based on recent actions I would have to say the plate should go to either Maya or Kormak, they definitely need the boost to armor... If no one else objects that is.

"I speak the truth of not knowing the Kmarties fate, as there are many possibilites for them. From what i do know that means, they could become slaves, either in live or undead form."

"Or they could be the subjects of experiments. Or perhaps another fate entirely."

Kormak & Mort:

Kormak lets the sword slip a little closer "Don't worry we won't allow you to return as undead we'll burn yer corpse on that orc pyre."

Mort holds a hand to Kormak indicating to stop the facade "Alright Kormak while I agree he should die and be prevented from becoming undead I suspect he actually is speaking some truth."

Idonea & Ewat:

Ewat to Lutha: "Hobs? Like what took the merch'nts? Down which way? An' treasure?"

Idonea to Tenebaum: "This Temple, are they raising an army? Why? What do they have to do with the Towers? And you—what do you get out of betraying the Keep?"

Dungeon Master:

Idonea to Tenebaum: "This Temple, are they raising an army? Why? What do they have to do with the Towers? And you—what do you get out of betraying the Keep?"

Fr. Tenebaum says to Idonea,

"My Dear, the Hidden Temple indeed raises an army, soon these lands will be ours, the Lonely Tower, is but one of our many acquisitions, though i admit the Shy Tower is still a mystery."

"As to what I get out of betraying the Keep as you say, is satisfaction, from wealth, the growing of my powers thanks to the blessed Nergal and Erishkigal, & the spreading of our new kingdom

thanks to the labors of our undead followers."

Idonea:

Idonea to Tenebaum: "How's that wealth and satisfaction working out for you now, Father?"

Fr. Tenebaum just sneers a mean face at Idonea in response.

Kormak & Mort:

Mort "He's definitely not a holly man they put the needs of the church and others above themselves. Greed is a sin, and usually they burn for it."

Kormak "Or hang, also they like to cut off hands and out tongues too."

Borum:

DM (et al.): have we *thoroughly* searched this room, and adjacent corridors? If not, Wexley will commence looking for secret doors, hidden alcoves, treasure chests...

Borum (Dwarf Cleric): "I want to bring this fiend to justice as much as anyone, but I cannot condone torture. Of the type that causes permanent damage, anyway...", He chuckles.

"No one has a charm spell? Maybe if he won't give us more actionable intelligence, we could dress the Father up as an enemy of the evil gods, bind his mouth, and release him on a horse with hands and feet tied.

If he were riding through our enemies' territory dressed as us, they would mistakenly think he was their enemy and whack him. You hear that, you fiend?"

At this last sentence, Borum raises his voice so Tenebaum can hear him and glares at him.

Dungeon Master:

Looking back at the last posted Player's Map posted in the Player's Map forum, i'd say that basically the first 20 feet in from the cave mouth down to where Wexley triggered the portcullis trap,

was so far the only area actively searched for traps & secret doors, the rest was not examined at all, but at least appears free of traps based on where combat took place.

Idonea to Tenebaum: "Where is the Temple? Not in the Tower, aye? You said that's a recent acquisition, and you're well-settled. Here in the Caves? Which cave?"

"You figure it out my Dear. The whole of the Caves' Valley is run by the Hidden Temple."
