Trying to allow for others to respond. Don't like being one of the two or three people doing everything when there are six players in the group. :-\

Hate to see you go. I've been working a ton of hours myself and can appreciate how hard it is to keep the commitment. Good luck to you as well and hope things settle down for you soon, brother.

Osric is mine !!! Can i get a quick summary of what/where/why he is where he is?
I will read and find the details as i play the cleric of Thor.
The last thing he did was a failed turn undead attempt? Correct? he now stands with hammer in hand facing zombies?

last actions for Osric

Attempted to turn the zombies and failed. He and scy stood at the doorway facing the zombies as they came up the stairs. Osric was struck by the zombie and dropped.

Cilian pulled him to the side and poured a healing potion down his throat, he just came to last round and is at 1 HP.

Summary

The party gathers together at wayfarers place to meet up for the first time in over a year. It is a month before the spring festival and time for old friends to gather and talk about their recent experiences.

A local guide Johansen bursts into the inn dragging a stranger. They are both injured and covered in blood and he tells a story of being ambushed by the walking dead.

The party decides to investigate and eventually comes to a cave on land owned by the endler family. Inside they find the wall of the cave seems to have been broken away revealing a tunnel. Investigating the tunnels they run into several strange creatures, the strangest of which seemed to be some large primitive tattooed human. They also come across a blood stained alter, pile of skulls, and a grotesque relief of Mictlantecuhtli in a cave filled with posed dead bodies.

Returning to town using the clues they found along with the research of the town sage Minter the group discovers the tattooed human was a race known as death Mongers who were thought to be extinct. They also discover an amulet they found is some kind of tracking device that the user can use to find a death monger shrine.

The group separates to train and takes a break after two weeks to attend the festival. At the opening ceremony the stage is engulfed by a column of flame and the ground erupts as an earth elemental appears followed by a company of skeletons.

After the enemies are defeated the party notices a column of smoke coming from a distant farm. Going to investigate they find a slaughtered family and area of crops burned in a circle.

Following tracks they come upon a group of orcs with a death monger having killed another farm family. As the group attacks the death monger is consumed in a column of flame.

The party sees more columns of smoke in the distance and eventually as the final column of fire implodes the ground shakes and each column of smoke is replaces by a large black obelisk.

As everyone is trying to decide what to do and what this all means Minter tells the group he has discovered a ritual that he can do to activate the amulet, but he needs certain components. The group manages to gather all but 1, hair of a displacer beast. Finding that Johansen had encountered one before in the lonely wood the groups hires him to lead them to the area he saw the beast.

The group eventually encounter the beast as it is being attacked by a party of goblins along with some kind of deathmonger/centipede hybrid. The group gets some of the displacer beast hair off one of the dead goblins weapons and make their way back to Minter. he casts the spell to activate the amulet and in the process the group is attacked by an orc party.

returning to town they find wearing the amulet gives them telpathic directions. Folowing the directions the group has been heading north for over a eak when they ran into severla days of a extremely freak storm.

taking refuge in an abondoned farmhouse the find another traveler there as well. searching around the encounter a ghoul in the attic and find the oher traveler is actually a cleric of the death god. they kill the ghoul and the cleric escaped, now they have checked the basement to find the farm family are now zombies.

Your wisdom allows 2 extra, 3 total. 2 have been cast.
the memorized spell can be replaced with cure light wounds.
right now your memorized spell is command.
Check.
I will be changing Command once rested.
The only spell choices are 1e players handbook?
As I look over that list, I have been asking myself, what would Thor do?

We ever figured out what works bestest against these monger thingies?
This is a game about killing things and taking their stuff so you can become more powerful in order to kill bigger things and take even better stuff.
Alethan: I'm good with NOT pressing our luck this time.
mjulius: That's how I know I'm home.
Pulpatoon: The whole point of PbP is to take the scheduling pressure off the game. We're just chatty because we're so eager!
Scott308: ...everyone should be reminded of just how wonderful the people they play games with here can be in real life.
Leitz: Quality and quantity wise, I think US is the best I've seen.
Paladin: I can promise terror, glory, and riches...or a quick and brutal death.
Inferno: Come on! That's was Vicar's Head, a completely different doomed village!
Rex: I can move to the wait list to let someone else into the game.

Heh, I want to melt them with water, or burn them with a holy symbol, something!!! Our weapons seem to be nicking them, I want to do DAMAGE. :)

I was really asking my fellow party members, but if you would like to continue to respond Mr. DM kindly do so. ;)

Star Trek taught me that not everybody keeps their, lets just use heart right now, in the same place.
:)
