You can continue to declare your intentions and I will logically adjudicate the final outcome based on the situation.

Take last round for instance, Grimnail began the round intending to finish off the already wounded troglodyte with his primary attack and attack ra new, fully healthy troglodyte with his second attack. Knowing your intention (to take of the wounded foe first), when your first attack missed, I allowed your second attack to hit your primary target.

Logic will dictate in every individual situation and it won't necessarily always work to your advantage (just most of the time).

By the way, the Blackhawks play both tonight and tomorrow night, but I should be able to get the next update in before Monday morning.

I'm a lifelong, die hard Cubs fan, so bring it on! ;-) (this is ooc, but in Cubbie blue and not Cardinal red.) I don't catch many of their games on TV but, as an avid fantasy baseball player, I follow them (and most teams) pretty closely.

Actually, they played at 4:00, not the expected 7:00, so their game ended just as I was about to start watching it. :( At least they won (2-1).

I will work to get the update out tonight.

Round 6

#190 Post by dmw71 »

Ewell, nearly incapacitated after the latest string of attacks, begins to defensively back away from the conflict, but continues to draw the attention of the troglodyte he was facing (e5). Before the creature is able to attack him, however, Strom and Epsilon return to the scene in a near charge and successfully distract the scaly beast, which instead looks to rake Strom. Strom's sword and Epsilon's mace end the life of the lizard-like foe (e5), whose final actions are three missed attacks against the knight. "There is a large group coming, we have to retreat, fighting withdrawl!" calls the cleric.

Kaltar continues to wage war against his adversary (e11) and feels the pinch from a javelin (-2) before crushing the beast with a perfectly placed mace strike (+20xp), nearly dropping the previously unharmed creature.

Garth and Alordan remain in conflict with a pair of javelin-wielding troglodytes (e10, e12), and both easily manage to escape harm. The troglodytes are not able to say the same, however, as Garth connects with a solid blow against his previously unharmed foe (e12) while the heavily wounded swamp beast continues to avoid the slashing attempts from Alordan.

Grimnail's muscles find a surge of adrenaline in their bloodied state. With a desperate growl, knowing his death is near, he flings caution to the heavens hoping to end these filth before succumbing to his fate. While able to connect with both axes successfully, the creature (e4) manages to remain standing, albeit weakly.

Once Alordan posts his action, I will add it. -- done.

In the meantime, I will need an initiative roll for round seven, as well as declared actions and attack/damage rolls.

Strom will continue to move forward and attack the trog on Kaltar. See to Ewell he shouts to Epsilon as he moves to engage.

Frustrated with his recent attacks, Alordan once again tries to cleave the shit out of the monster before him...

Long sword attack (Normal;) [1d20] = 9 (THACO=20)
Long sword (Normal; +3 Str Damage) - damage [1d8+3] = 1+3 = 4

... but likely will need to simply grow accustomed to disappointment...

Kaltar takes anothe swing, reinvigorated by the return of his old friend:

Mace Action To Hit [1d20] = 10 Dam [1d6+1] = 5+1 = 6

But not enough to make a telling blow.

Doug have you still got your l-o-h to use today? As we still have two down and I only have 1 spell left.

Yeah I still have it to use. We will just have to get through this group, stabilize the most hurt and then run the hell out of here.

Fighting for his life, Alordan wearily swings his sword at the relentless beast before him...

Long sword attack (Normal;) [1d20] = 4 (THACO=20)
Long sword (Normal; +3 Str Damage) - damage [1d8+3] = 8+3 = 11

Arms growing heavy even with the light weight hand axes, Grim uses the momentum of the previous attack to carry his tired limbs into the next foray.
His swings, while precise, lack the great blasts of previous rounds.

Grims Dual Hand Ax#1 [1d20+4] = 8+4 = 12 Damage[1d8] = 1 Hand Ax#2 [1d20+4] = 9+4 = 13 Damage[1d6] = 2

[1d20+1] = 17+1 = 18 to hit [1d8] = 4 damage

BooYah!

Garth makes sure Alordan downs his foe before racing to tend to Gwillt.

Ewell is still in some sort of trance, not sure what to do next. He instinctively reaches for any open wounds, to see if he can stop the bleeding. He looks toward which direction for fight next, but doesnt have the strength to go anywhere.
