In 5e, there is something called Two Weapon Fighting. It is available to all classes and not a feat or skill. Here is the description:dmw71 wrote:Can you help me understand how Auborn is attacking with both hands?
I'm aware of the Dual Wielder feat, which isn't available at 1st-level (except to a variant human).
Is there something else I'm missing?
Two-Weapon Fighting
When you take the Attack action and attack with a light melee weapon that you're holding in one hand, you can use a bonus action to attack with a different light melee weapon that you're holding in the other hand. You don't add your ability modifier to the damage of the bonus attack, unless that modifier is negative.
If either weapon has the thrown property, you can throw the weapon, instead of making a melee attack with it.
yes, that allows me to add the damage modifier to the offhand attack. The generic Two Weapon Fighting skill does not allow the modifier to be added to the offhand attack.dmw71 wrote:I also found the two-weapon fighting style, which becomes available at 2nd-level.dmw71 wrote:I'm aware of the Dual Wielder feat, which isn't available at 1st-level (except to a variant human).
