Re: Chapter 03: Minn's Mound
Surprisingly, the mighty dwarf only manages to rattle the heavy door. Although unlocked, it seems wedged shut. As it is quite damp here, that may have something to do with it.
For another attempt, roll again.

Re: Chapter 03: Minn's Mound
Yes, even when subjected to the might of Korin, the door in this fishy mud hole of a room remains closed. But wait! It does seem to start giving way...if only ever so little...

Assuming the Torch is still lit:
Norbold takes the torch from Ox, and stands so he's off to the right side wall, with bastard sword in right hand and torch outstretched perpendicular to the door in left hand.

Re: Chapter 03: Minn's Mound
<creak-swish-wham!> (or, rather, a wet, muted <szszsz-chrr-thud!>) is the noise the door makes, as Phoenix easily succeeds in opening it inwards.
In the flickering torch light, a new passage - this time wider, about 10' - opens up in front of the merry band of adventurers. It looks empty and seems to stretch forward 10-20' then swerve to the left a little. It also slopes ever so faintly upwards. A whiff of some.....organic (?) smell from within was momentarily felt, as the door swung open.

Phoenix will wait a few moments to let the others explore safely before entering, weapons ready
Greys Campaign.
Re: Chapter 03: Minn's Mound
Ha ha good one!flexing his muscles at his door kicking power
Korin, Ox and Norbold notice that this passage offers a bit more swinging room than the preceeding one. Ox also finds that his infravision isn't really that effective with a lit torch behind his back. Nevertheless, it looks safe to proceed.
So the new marching order seems to be (Phoenix waiting outside) / Norbold holding torch & sword / Ox / Korin ---> ?

Korin "Damned torch'll give us away. Then again it might be handy if a heat seer has a torch thrown in his face."

Re: Chapter 03: Minn's Mound
Korin, Ox and Norbold proceed cautiously further into the passage. As they approach the part where the passage turns slightly left....
<slam!> - behind them, the door swings shut - as if by itself - leaving the three inside the corridor, with Phoenix outside, a closed door now between him and the rest.
Now continuing via separate PM:s - check your inboxes.

As Norbold hears the door slam shut, and his torch flickers violently from the breeze, he goes, "Oh come on now, Phoenix."
<WuuuAArrggh!!> - a guttural growl is heard further ahead, and Norbold jumps again, and turns back around, to see Korin and Ox, also reacting to the newer sound!
Norbold, grips his broad sword tightly, again staying against the right side wall.
