Expedition Planning Discussions
Re: Expedition Planning Discussions
Afetr the July 15th in game date,
Amistad is up for a short exploration. He has heard regarding the equipment left in the old mill and kobold tower and wishes to go salvage it. He has a wagon and draft horse and a retainer as well. Anyone else up for a return to the sneaky kobold place and dig out a few extra treasures?

Re: Expedition Planning Discussions
Clay was thinking of heading that way as well. Need a cleric? J/k. Of course you do!
Re: Expedition Planning Discussions
Marullus,
What would the Temple of Baudh's default disposition toward Fingers (or Bandy) be for recruiting purposes?
I should probably wait for Alethan to get back to recruit without a penalty, but I don't know if I'm that patient.

On a similar note, what about Winnie and Bianca? I know they are mostly strangers now, but what kind of reception are they getting so far? Any connections through the church etc that might be beneficial?Zhym wrote:Marullus,

Re: Expedition Planning Discussions
Hey, stop trying to poach Fingers's cleric that he hasn't hired yet!
Re: Expedition Planning Discussions
Also, Marullus, would the church of Gwanwen, with its enmity for the undead, have a better disposition for a mission to the tomb? Might they have any clerics available to recruit?
That's assuming it would be a good idea to bring a cleric of Gwanwen. If they just try to slay every ghost they see, it might not go well in that room with the trial!

Re: Expedition Planning Discussions
Churches have an initial disposition of Dubious, not friendly. Clerics and sworn characters (knights, reapers, Templars) start as Friendly with their church. Or, you can earn a friendly disposition through roleplay (like Bandy, Markd, and Irving now have with Baudh.)
Winnie and Bianca are sworn to Beith. This means the other churches are Dubious of them. Beith doesn't currently have NPCs you can recruit.
Fingers is not sworn to serve a church, and no churches offer special relationship to cutpurse/burglar thieves.
As a reminder, anyone can swear to a church if that's their route, even right from character creation. If you want to dive in as a Reaper, Templar, or Squire, you can do so at any time you role-play it.

Re: Expedition Planning Discussions
With Allmond joining up, I think the Fingers expedition probably has everyone it's going to have, unless we want to try to recruit another fighter type. Do we need to wait for the Trial of Bremen to resolve before the expedition thread can be set up?
Re: Expedition Planning Discussions
Probably. Need to see if Bremen is wanting to go with us.

Who knows... It might be a form of penance from Keelan.
Just be careful of those reanimating skeletons! Actually... Maybe Clay would be interested. Do you have room for a badger, a dog, an owl and a female archer? Bandy worships Beith and might think of him.

Re: Expedition Planning Discussions
A menagerie might be fun. As long as Clay doesn't plan on using any of the animals as sacrifices.
Also, we might not want to wait for the trial to be over. We've been at it a month now and haven't even gotten to all of Pendleton's witnesses—or any of Bremen's.

Re: Expedition Planning Discussions
How many more witnesses will Pendleton have? More than Florian?
Re: Expedition Planning Discussions
He has to finish with Irving first. And he'll also be bringing Bandy back up about the horse-stealing thing. Then Florian. And Bremen might end up having to testify after all.
I don't know if there's anyone left for Bremen to call, but he gets his own witnesses if he wants them.

Re: Expedition Planning Discussions
Bremen's calling in that good-for-nothing Bishop. Ask that dude what the hell he's playing at. Doesn't he know Bremen's supposed to be a Lord Commander already!?
Re: Expedition Planning Discussions
Yes! Bremen should definitely do that. And why just the bishop? Why not also call the Archduke to ask why he hasn't had an official ceremony recognizing Bremen's Lord Commanderhood?

Re: Expedition Planning Discussions
YESSSSS!!!!!
If it looks like he's going to be found guilty, Bremen will need to channel his inner Foxy O'Hare and do that.

Re: Expedition Planning Discussions
I think, though, that you've lost the thread on "Expedition Planning."
Re: Expedition Planning Discussions
So, Marullus, do we need to wait for the end of the trial to get Fingers's expedition rolling with Markd in attendance, or can we do that in parallel?
Here's the updated roster:
Fingers
Bandy
Markd
Allmond
Clay and retinue
Should we start calling the group the Allmond brothers band?
I haven't been watching Clay's story. Who is the female archer that would come along with him?

Re: Expedition Planning Discussions
Not Foxy, I think he means Clarabelle, daughter of Farrow Farmers and acting as his retainer.
