Wyntar nods appreciatively toward Silsellay....to the others he quietly says.... I believe it would be most useful to consume the healing liquid before going against Yesrokh Peyah? Our constitution will need to be at its peak.

The foolish young hobbit nods rigorously and doles out the clear liquid, completely trusting the magic harp at its word.
Careful not to speak, he silently hands vials to Mira and Xano, who appear the most injured among the great, mighty champions. The third vial, he'll save for an emergency.

Mira and Xano immediately quaff their potions and instantly feel much better. (10/12 hp healed)

Against the Giants
Surprise Round

The party cautiously walks through the misty door into the main hall of the castle. (C6) You initially see an incredibly massive room before you with several more misty doorways leading into other various rooms that you can't see. There is a table in the center of the room that is tall enough for Wyntar to walk under fully erect. It is surrounded by equally huge chairs and looks like it is covered with a bloody goo that you probably don't want to know any more about. The remnants of an unwholesome meal, most likely.

Because there are no secret doors, I will just post the whole map for you. No meta gaming please. 1 square = 20 feet
You are on the first floor. You have just left C5 and entered into C6
The balcony (above C6) is 50 feet up from the first floor.

You quickly ascertain that this room must be on the first floor as there is a huge open balcony above you on the second floor that overlooks this great hall. Suddenly, a deafening bellow comes from above you and you look up to meet the gaze of a row of enormous beasts!

By the time that you realize the huge animals are only stuffed heads, hung up as the giants hunting trophies, you are beset by the two ugly giants that were hiding in the room off to your left. They both throw rocks that smash into Halo. 14 dam Then they charge in, bounding up the stairs with their wicked spears pointing at your guts.

At that same time, you hear some deep, muffled tones and are abruptly showered with a barrage of sizzling missiles that shoot out from the balcony directly over your heads. All 5 of the tiny bolts unerringly strike Trotter, burning him and causing a great deal of discomfort. 17 dam

Actions!

You are all on the 20x30 foot landing at the top of the stairway in C6. Two Verbeeg are charging up the steps at you. You cannot see who shot the magic missiles, but they most certainly came from over the railing on the part the balcony above you that is out of your view. The stairway is 20 feet wide so, everyone that wants to can attack the giants this round.

Trotter grits his teeth at the zapping and charges the giants, sword singing.

Blodget, halfling thief:

Blodget was about to offer the final potion to Trotter or Halo but they both go charging off to glorious battle! The foolish young hobbit figures he'd better join them!

Blodget pulls up the hood of his Elven cloak and sneaks around behind Halo's giant for a sneaky backstab attempt with his magic shortsword of giant slaying!
Blodget Shortsword: [1d20+2] = 12+2 = 14, Damage: S/M: [1d6+2] = 2+2 = 4, Damage: L: [1d8+2] = 2+2 = 4

Doesn't include:
    • An extra +1 to hit and to damage, for a true Giant target
      +4 to hit from behind
Double damage for a true Giant target
      Quadruple damage for backstab.
Thanks.

Xano rushes beside Trotter and attacks the charging giant. When she gets close enough she blinks Freeale!behind the one so that it is between Trotter and herself and backstabbing the giant.

Flame+3L.Swordtohit[1d20+9] = 20+9 = 29,todam sm[1d8+5] = 3+5 = 8,todamlg[1d12+5] = 2+5 = 7, flame dam vs cold users[1d6] = 3 x 3 30Hp damage.

Critical hit on a backstab How would I figure in that damage. Would it be (lg dam 10 x 3 x 2 =50 damage or 10 x 3 = 30 x 2 =60 damge)

Mira leaves strong foes to strong friends, and decides, based on the events of this round: We don't have time for this; while we toy with these two, the real enemy hurls spells at us! Her hand appears from under her cloak, 3 fingers coated with colored powder. She poofs the pigments into the air and recites a quick intonation.

Color Spray, Directed at the Verbeegs.

Against the Giant
Round 1

Morgi flies around some more. 6

The chaos in the main hall continues as the fighters move up to attack and the casters ready their spells. One of the giants gets a poke in at Halo with his wicked spear, but it fails to pierce his shiny mail. That is the last action the giant takes in his pathetic existence.

Mira steps off to the side and tosses some colorful pigments in the direction of the brutes while she intones her magic words. Both of the ugly giants are struck by the spells bright colorful spray, allowing the others to get in their attacks. Halo, Edina, Trotter, Xano, and Blodget all get in shots on these creatures in their respective fashions. The carnage is thorough. Bits and pieces of the ugly verbeeg go flying in every direction as both mini giants quickly fall to the floor, bloodied and quite dead.

Just as the attack started, you saw a group of six hobgoblins led by an ogre rush out of the opposite door as the giants.(10) The dumb ogre continues to charge towards you with his club swinging. The hobgoblins on the other hand, catch a glimpse of your total destruction of the verbeeg. They realize quickly that to attack a party as strong as yours would be suicide so, they rush back towards the front entrance and flee for their lives. (11)

There is another deafening bellow from above as a rock begins whizzing at you from over the balcony. The rock hits Wyntar hard in the torso mid spell, ruining the incantation and foiling the wizard’s ability to attain flight. 12 dam

You look up to see the angry, contorted face of the cloud giant, Lachlan, glaring down over the railing at you menacingly. He raises his arm up and you see that he is ready to launch another boulder in your direction.

Actions!

Anyone who wants to can attack the ogre this round. (just keep ignoring that other guy  )

Halo sets the cats upon the incoming ogre, and Edina and Patsy leap at the creature.

The small paladin will move just in line with the balcony and leap into the air activating his boots, sword poised

"Pelor comes for you demon!"

Edina : [1d20] = 12 : [1d4] = 3 : [1d20] = 14 : [1d4] = 1 : [1d20] = 5 : [1d10] = 6

Patsy : [1d20] = 7 : [1d4] = 2 : [1d20] = 20 : [1d4] = 2 : [1d20] = 12 : [1d10] = 6

Blodget, halfling thief:

The foolish young hobbit sheathes his magic shortsword, gulps, and steps back into the shadows. He checks that the hood of his cloak is still in place and then moves through the shadows, toward the Cloud Giant! Gulp, again!

If Blodget can reach the giant's balcony via the stairs, he will. Otherwise the little hobbit will scale the wall to reach him, hopefully unseen!

Upon seeing the Cloud Giant's hateful visage, the now-visible Mira gasps and runs for cover beneath the very balcony the Giant stands on. Once safe from oversized projectiles, she again pulls her sacred scroll from her satchel and begins to read.

Projected Image

Unless, of course, she's pegged by an enormous baseball...
