Sylvan smiles at the sight of Ciar. "I'm glad to see you on your feet, you plucky little bugger. You look like you could use something for those scratches."

With that, he applies the healing wound to their dependable scout.

Fulp looks around.
Shall we quickly scout the cavern to see if these were the same archers that were harassing us there? If so, we may want to check the place out before others can replace them.

Sparrow is also relieved to see the spunky halfling still alive and well.

I agree Fulp! Let's get in there and see if we were able to put a dent in their numbers.

Unless Ciar knows something that we don't of course.

He lets the halfling tell his tale before rushing further into the cramped tunnel.

Sorsha removes her daggers from the kobold corpse and, seeing that Ciar is ok, slouches by the body staring at it.
She looks rather sad.

As Ciar examines the bodies of the dead kobolds for anything of value, he catches the others up on his end of things...

"I went in this tunnel, chasing a few of 'em. The wounded one took a southern tunnel I've not fully explored yet. The rest went back to that big room. After a minute, it sounded like they were coming my way, so I hid and let them pass. Figured they were trying to flank you lot, so I went after them, trying to take some of them out before they could get to you."

"I took that one there out before he could leave the tunnel, then this last one bumped into me trying to retreat. Don't know if there are any left in the large room. Don't think there are, but we should be careful. I've no idea what's down the southern tunnel, aside from a 10' pit trap I fell into the first time I was exploring the area."

He nods at Sylvan as way of thanks for the application of the wand. "That thing's come in mighty handy..."

After the kobolds have been searched, he says, "I'm ready to keep going. Let's end this."

If nobody is opposed, he leads the party east, pausing at the branch in the tunnel to see if anyone wants to check out the large cavern for kobolds while he watches the southern tunnel to make sure nothing comes up on them in the dark.

Fulp pipes in,
I hate wasting it, but if just one more of their arrows hits me in the wrong place, and I am done for.Sylvan, mind hitting me with it, please.

Sylvan nods and takes a few moments to tend to the wounds of those not at full health.

I have not read any of the updates, but did catch the healing attempts, which I was able to quickly update. The new conditions are shown below (note, some PCs fell darn near the middle of two categories, so, as a general rule, I rounded down):

Health
100%
Grim
Leliana
Sorsha

75%
Ciar
Fulp

Cool. I should have been doing it all along.

I'm not sure if I'm still 100% sold on the 25/50/75/100 scale I'm using for now, but we'll see. I can't help but wonder if the extra step in a 20/40/60/80/100 progression would be better?

Ciar details his solo escapade and, after those in need receive a dose of the healing wand, the halfling leads them back east, down the southern tunnel, pausing once reaching the 'Y' intersection, where the cavern with ledges lies to the northeast and the largely unexplored passageway continues southeast.

Please let me know if the somewhat random order I placed you in on the map is correct, or if anyone wants to be shuffled around. Also, I will need to know who is carrying what, especially in terms of weapons and the everlit torches.

Leliana groans "A long, narrow hallway leading to gods know where. Anyone else feeling deja vu here? We nearly got our collective asses handed to us back there."

She struggles a bit, "By the way, thanks for the help pulling me out of there. And healing, of course.."

Ciar points up the northeast passage and whispers, "That leads to the big cavern."

He points down the southeastern passage and adds, "That... Er, that definitely leads to a pit trap, but I'm not really sure what is beyond it, except at least one wounded kobold."

Sylvan nods and whispers in return "You'd do the same for us, right?"

The boy-druid shrugs his shoulders, indicating to Ciar that he'll follow whichever direction the little guy thinks best.

Sparrow whispers.

Should we take the time to circle back through the known passages to the north before heading south? This feels like another way for them to surround us if a small group still remains in the northern caverns, waiting to follow us.

"This one's got a few copper pennies." Sorsha says sadly, handing 6 cp to Ciar. She looks a bit disturbed or distracted. Her mind somewhere else.

Ciar accepts the Everbright Torch from Fulp.

"We could spend all day running back and forth between tunnels. Maybe they're watching us right now and would follow us out and pin us in that room in the north. Going back through the north isn't going to be any different than just going up this passage here," he says, indicating the northeastern passage. "Just takes more time is all."

"Wait here. I'll check out the cavern ahead. Keep an eye out on the tunnels heading out and southeast."

Ciar covers his Everbright Torch and moves into the northeastern tunnel cautiously...

Fulp quickly whispers,
Dont make it so dark we cant see... Some of us need that thing. I think our archer needs to lead toward the north to hit any f he sees them.
