Ox- Any of you good at trapping critters? It still has to be alive when you give it to them.

Re: Chapter 03: Minn's Mound
”Well, my magic could knock something out easily enough, we could then tie it up and rest, let me renew any spell and come back with the trussed up critter!” the gnome squeaks from the back.
”Or, you know, we could just find another way in. Perhaps we could offer them the ogre? We could try and subdue it? The cleric could talk to it right, so he could also command it to sleep with his magic!”

To Spiders, "Would the nasty ogre in the other chamber suffice? that is if we can knock him out, otherwise it's fish or a woodland animal."

”He must have gotten in there somehow. There must be another way out of there.” the gnome replies with a shrug.

Re: Chapter 03: Minn's Mound
Phoenix ponders that for a second. Whilst it’s true, it’s less likely than he has another way out. If he is been trapped he would need to be fed regularly by the trapper or he wouldn’t be alive today.” The illusionist turns to the cleric. Did he say he was trapped?

Re: Chapter 03: Minn's Mound
Korin "Aye but ya think on it a bit, ya got a big scary ogre trapped an that'd be a perfect guard ta scare off intruders. So why let em die when yah can feed em an keep em guardin yer back door eh?"

Re: Chapter 03: Minn's Mound
Phoenix ”Whilst that is true, a prisoner would be a very unreliable guard at all, and would not be in any way disposed to performing for his captors. It’s a risky strategy. If it is trapped, we could lay in wait and observe just what comes to feed the ogre, and perhaps get a better understanding of who runs the show here, and maybe even why!”GreyWolfVT wrote:Korin "Aye but ya think on it a bit, ya got a big scary ogre trapped an that'd be a perfect guard ta scare off intruders. Re: Chapter 03: Minn's Mound
Thorelf hisses "Guys. Guys! Let's just try the last entrance, okay? Save the ogre theories for later."
Thorelf stands up slowly, and starts backing slowly away from the entrance to the spider room.
He glances quickly back towards the ceiling of the spider room.
"And you can z-k t-t-t the cht of your mother's Z-t kt..."

Korin will turn and head back out once he is able to. He will then continue to the last entrance in the mound. "This last entrance turn out like tha last two, then I'm gonna go back an deal wit the ogre."

Norbold Ernessaeia (Sylvanian Elf Cleric): Scale Mail AC 6 : Hit Points 6 / 6:
Norbold, awaiting a reply from the spiders hears the conversation and says,
"No the Ogre did not say he was trapped. Korin, are you gonna stomp the ogre with your mighty boots? Boots so powerful only Korin can wear them.... Due to the smell."
To the Spiders, "We are going to explorer another entrance first. Then we will bring you some food."

Re: Chapter 03: Minn's Mound
While discussing the pros and cons of staying or leaving, the others see Norbold at the end of the short tunnel, staring up into the dark, bravely putting forward a suggestion to the creatures he now can most likely only see via infravision:
And then....
There is a pause. Then, the voice, almost cooingly, reassuringly, wheezes: "K-t-tttt-t. Tzk- ktt. Tk tk tk."."Would the nasty ogre in the other chamber suffice? (etc)"
And then....
Re: Chapter 03: Minn's Mound
Ox- Turns and follows Thorelf. I'm for looking at the other entrance. But I wonder what is guarding the entrance or what traps we will find.

Re: Chapter 03: Minn's Mound
Please list who is still inside the passage (apart from Norbold), and who are on the way out, and who are already outside, if any. In marching order - thanks.
Re: Chapter 03: Minn's Mound
Phoenix is outside, waiting. Happy to be rid of the spiders

Re: Chapter 03: Minn's Mound
Thorelf walks out all the way to join up with Phoenix. But walking slowly to make sure nobody is unwillingly left behind without torchlight.
So my impression is that marching order, direction towards "outside", is Phoenix, Korin, Thorelf, Ox, Norbold, with Phoenix having just arrived outside and Norbold having just left the entrance to the spider chamber. So a bit of distance between each party member.
