Raythan joins in on the conversation when Urson decides to walk the treeline of the clearing. Jack follows the burly ranger worshipfully.

Krystal also tries to recruit the elf boy for some fun, this time to move avail. She begins stirring the coals and adding branches to the loggers fire. She is promptly stopped by the already surly Burt.

"Hey bitch! What the hells do you think you're doing? Do you make a habit out of invading others camps and then messing with their things? Get away from there before I show you what else we can do with these axes."

Ernie steps away from Bert a little, seeing that he now means business. He answers the groups cleric, trying to diffuse the situation.

"They didn't vanish. Trust me, those guys are bad ass. You don't need to worry about their whereabouts or safety. They can all handle themselves pretty well."

"What did you say you came out here for again? This ain't exactly a nice vacation area here."

Disarming this man would be very hard to do.

Give me a very hard Dex check to grab his ax. If successful, make a hard STR check to pull it away from him due to your size and strength advantage.

Grabbing someone else's weapon would most certainly be seen as an attack, just so you know.

Franny shakes her head in agreement with Burt. She tries to calm both Monocar and Burt, before they try kill each other ...Wait one minute, you might call her "foolish", but Krystal ain't been a "bitch", yet. I wouldn't be starting no fires Missy, especially when they ain't yers! We don't know who else may come a calling out heres and shouldn't be drawing unwanted attention to ourselves. So, are we done here boys? She snears at both men.

Krystal is currently.... *rolls dice* 14 feet away from Burt. The logger/sailor is not advancing on the elf, just yelling at her.....so far.

Stepping in between them would be a free action that wouldn't require any roll. Making a "grab for his ax" will be viewed as an attack and result in obvious retaliation. You get a distinct impression that he isn't going to allow you to simply disarm him without consequences.

Luther

Call us some help, boyo. We got zombie tracks over here. Stay put and send the others along this trail behind me. With that, Luther enters the jungle, just off the trail as he follows it.

Jack, lost boy:

Jack nods at Luther, pointing to the grisly piece of rotting human flesh at the trailhead.

"Sure thing!" he replies. Then he merely turns his head and yells: "Hey! Over here! We found zombie tracks!"

Monocar

Had stepped between Bert and the rest of the party in a show of bravado to help the sailor lumberjack-wannabe reconsider bowing up to the group when he hears Jack's call. He looks at Ernie less aggressively as if to ask, "you got him?"

Ernie gives Monocar a nod.

"Don't worry about ol' Burt. He's dumb, but not dumb enough to start a fight with a much larger and well armed group such as yourself."

Burt in turn glares at his partner with a seriously stern look.

"I aint got no problem with any of you, I just don't like people touchin my stuff. I sure as hell wouldn't do something like that if I ever stumbled into yer camp unannounced!"

Both men turn, looking rather surprised when Jack shouts out something about zombies.

Raythan is not impressed with the two lumberjacks, and doesn't want to even converse with them, he moves to join Luther and Jack.

Monocar

Nods to Ernie and wordlessly gives Burt and less agressive warning glance. "Be nice to the ladies," his eyes say as he draws his mace and heads over to Luther and Jack eager to leave now that he has seen the camp. The thought of a little action is just what he needs as he catches up to the Ranger and the Lost Boy. Grinning slightly he looks from one to the other. "What'd you find? Something interesting I hope. Maybe we can find out what happened to the other lumberjack wannabes, or at least get some answers on where these zombies are coming from and collect that bounty the others were talking about. I'm beginning to think anywhere is better than here, but regardless, we might need to take Heckle and Jeckle with us. If there are zombies about or something else that got 20 men, we can't very well just leave them here. Eewww... is that rotten meat? Which way did they go? Was it recent?"

ooc: Well I would say that worked itself out neatly.

Miss Tal

Krystal sneers at the axemans' attempt to intimidate her."Bert sweetie, you seem such a thick brained bad ass! I am sure Captain Bing is much more welcoming to lady entrepreneurs". she waits to move in following the others to see if Bonnie reveals her whereabouts.

As the others move to join in on Luthers findings, Burt lightens up a little.

Burt gets a good laugh out of this one.
"Well, I don't know what thick brained means, but you are right about me being a bad ass! And if you ever meet the man, you will likely learn just how wrong you really are about him."

The group reunites (minus Bonnie) at the clearings northern edge where Luther is sure he has discovered the trail of the zombies. Sure enough, there are obvious signs of movement there and the trail continues on to the north through the thick bush. The trail is barely noticeable and not well trodden, but you don't have to be a ranger to notice that a few creatures have passed this way recently moving south out of the deep jungle forest.

Burt and Ernie join in on the discovery. They both look confused.
"We haven't seen any walking dead out hear at all. Where could they be coming from? It looks like they are only traveling from deep in the jungle towards the beach. What could be causing that I wonder?"

Luther takes a look around further up the barely visible trail and finds no other tracks other than the lumbering and dragging zombie footprints.

Krystal keeps an eye out for her kinswoman, but there is still no sign of Bonnie anywhere.

Jack pokes at the small patch of dead flesh caught on a bramble with his finger. "ewwww, GROSS!"

Monocar

Has a thought and looks around. "BONNIE?! WHERE'D YOU GO?" He calls out in his deep barstone. "Anyone know where she went to?" he walks over to the edge of the clearing where he last saw her and pokes around just inside the brush looking for any signs of the pretty elf lady. "BONNIE? ARE YOU HERE?"

Luther
Jack, don't fiddle with that crap- you might catch somethin' the clerics haven't found a cure for.
I don't think there's any real good way to tell how many there were- but it looks like this is where they came from. An' Pete and RePete said they didn't see 'em come through... Interestin'.

He grins at Jack. Little man, you stay behind me, but be ready ta shoot if there's trouble. I'm gonna follow this trail, see what I kin find. Anybody else comin'?
Luther pauses for a minute, then moves out, slowly, studying his surroundings as he goes.

Jack pulls his hand back like he just touched a hot stove once Luther growls down at him. He proudly puffs out his little chest though, once he is asked to follow his temporary hero into the bush.

Luther announces that he is going up the trail and asks if anyone wants to follow the pair.

He slowly disappears into the thick bush with little Jack following in his exact footsteps with his bow at the ready.

Miss Tal

"So Burt and Ernie, it seems you share the same bedroom...perhaps you have a thing for little floating bath toys too?"

Rubber Ducky
Rubber Ducky, you're the one,
You make bathtime lots of fun,
Rubber Ducky, I'm awfully fond of you;

(woh woh, bee doh!)

Rubber Ducky, joy of joys,
When I squeeze you, you make noise!
Rubber Ducky, you're my very best friend, it's true!

(doo doo doo doooo, doo doo)

Every day when I go to
Make my way to the tubby
I find a little fella who's
Cute and yellow and chubby

(rub-a-dub-a-dubby!)

Rubber Ducky, you're so fine
And I'm lucky that you're mine
Rubber ducky, I'm awfully fond of you.

Rubber Ducky, you're so fine
And I'm lucky that you're mine
Rubber ducky, I'm awfully fond of -
Rubber ducky, I'd like a whole pond of -
Rubber ducky

Krystal goes off singing a merry kids tune while making hand signals at the two loggers.

The loggers just look on confused again as you each disappear into the jungle one by one. They seem incredibly confused about the rubber duck tune, but it starts to grow on them both before long, leaving them both smiling.

Finally Burt pipes up again after Krystal follows along after the others, leaving just Monocar, Raythan, and Franny left in the clearing. Despite the mountain shouting out loudly into the trees, there is still no sign of the party's pretty elven thief anywhere.

"The only baths we ever get is in the ocean, a half days walk back to Beachtown. And I promise you wont find anything as nice as a rubber duck where you are going. This jungle is full of REALLY bad things, especially the deeper you get into it. I would keep the yelling and singing to a minimum if I were you. And, who is this Bonnie that you keep shouting about, anyway?"
