The ogre Surprise roll 1 or 2 [1d6] = 2 is surprised!
The oil is lit and the ogre has a hotfoot. flaming damage [1d8] = 3
Odo's first strike hits home, though the second does not.
Calthas longbow [1d20+2] = 20+2 = 22, dmg [1d8] = 5 Calthas' also strikes home, crit [1d20] = 11 "Piercing strike. In ict +2d4 damage with this strike." dmg [2d4] = 5 Sean's crossbow bolt PC attack [1d20] = 9 flies wide.
The ogre is severely wounded.

Bror if there is room for it will attack the Ogre with his axe. 'Glimmer' Hand Axe +1 [1d20+2] = 3+2 = 5 to Hit [1d6+1] = 6+1 = 7 DMG

Calthas smiles at his own mastery, then fires another arrow with the same discipline.

Re: Part 10 - The Temple Again
Initiative players [1d6] = 1, baddies [1d6] = 2
The ogre charges the wizard Thurwin and swings monster attack [1d20] = 4, but slips on the burning oil and misses comically. The oil burns dmg [1d8] = 8 and but the ogre is out of the blazing slick now.
Odo misses. Calthas longbow [1d20+2] = 8+2 = 10, dmg [1d8] = 5 can recreate the magic, and Bror's strike is wide. The sliding, flailing ogre is hard to hit as other shots and swings go wide! But Effric is up to the task and his scimitar cleaves the ogre's skull, ending his rage for good!
The oil fire is dying quickly but it's still hot as heck, or is all of that sweat just exertion?

Re: Part 10 - The Temple Again
After the oil fire dies down, Odo checks the Ogre for valuables.
Re: Part 10 - The Temple Again
Thurwin - Wizard
Thurwin chuckles nervously and says "That was a little too close for comfort. Let's wait till this fire dies out and check his room."
As Thurwin waits, he'll keep watch behind us for anyone attracted to the sounds of combat.

Re: Part 10 - The Temple Again
Bror steps back out of the way and takes up a guard position while the ogre is being searched.

Calmert swings Calmert mace [1d20] = 4, dmg [1d6] = 3 and foul tips the already dead ogre. It sails into the stands behind third.connivingsumo wrote:connivingsumo wrote:Calmert: Cleric

As the druid had already finished him off, I assumed the cleric would hold his action.
Re: Part 10 - The Temple Again
Odo searches the foul beast. He wears a padded jack sewn with seashells, and uses a green drape as a cape. He wears his hair in a topnot held in place by three silver pins, each set a with pearl (each worth 110 gp).
Thurwin, hearing no one attracted by the brief battle, looks in the room.
A pair of beds are shoved together, with a heavy chest beside them. A large table and chair are the only other furnishings. Three barrels stand along the south wall.
