Hello, new member here, would like to join some games and perhaps join some idle banter about games.

You should have your two Mod-approved posts at this point, so posting in the general forum threads and sending PMs is now available.

The Unseen Servant is very heavy on actual games and fairly light on the game discussion banter. We do have sections of the forum set aside for game discussions; it's just that we tend to focus more on the playing of games and less on the heavy discussion of rules that occasionally leads to trollish behaviour.

Still, all civil discussion is welcome, as long as it relates to RPGs.

Thank you everyone, May I ask what is the etiquette for asking to see if there's openings in a certain game as a player?

Usually if a GM has an opening, they'll post for it in a LFP (Looking For Player) thread. But as long as you're nice, and understand "no" might likely be the answer (for a multitude of reasons), sending a PM to the GM of a game you want to join is acceptable.
