Pendleton takes the lead in allowing someone else to go first.

Dagg volunteers to go first "I might as well go down first I'm akin to being underground." and he heads on down the ladder. Once at the bottom the dwarf takes out his sword again in case of hostiles or attack.

Dagg lowers himself into the hole and climbs down the rope ladder to the landing below.

Dagg is going to signal the others to come down, hand motions them to follow down the ladder if they can see him if they can only see the torch he will wave it in some sort of manner to signal the others down. If that fails he will have to speak.

Note, due to potential space limitations, I will need to know the order in which the rest of the group descends.

Siirist will climb down the rope next, if nobody else volunteers to go immediately.

Sasha follows the others down the rope and looks around at the landing area while she waits for the rest of the group.

Sasha's descent is stopped short. Dagg moves north into the available passage to create room for Siirist, but there is no additional room, for now...

Siirist is now able to see what Dagg originally discovered, and can relay the findings to the rest of the group. The northern passage runs approximately 30-feet, but after 10-feet, a 15-wide chasm splits the the passage. A bridge of fairly recent construction, made of strong hemp ropes woven and tied around closely set planks of wood, is firmly attached at both ends. A rope hand rail, at waist height, runs along both sides of the bridge. Half way across the chasm, the bridge T's and the side runs due west, extending 20-feet, until it ends at a passage which continues beyond it.

Dagg and Siirist fill the landing, and no additional space can be created without passing over the rope bridge.

Note: Edited to add the bridge T'ing and the western passage.

Sasha relays the message topside while still clinging to the rope ladder.

She passes along a message back down to Siirist.

They all agree that you should send the dwarf across first to test the strength of the rope bridge. She tries to hold back her snickering for the moment.

Morgan offers to go down last, but urges the group to hurry so the rest of the party can get down and across the rope bridge.

Bingus looks about nervously. He's scared to go down but even more scared to stay up top by himself. He'll prefer to descend in 3rd, 4th or 5th position.

"Perhaps the most nimble of us should cross first with one end of a rope, just in case the bridge isn't entirely stable," suggests Pendleton. "We could even tie the rope to him or her in case the bridge fails."

Dagg will cross the rope bridge to clear room for Sasha. Moving slowly and stepping lightly.

Dagg with Siirist trailing behind, begins to cross the sturdy rope bridge, beneath the stalactites lining the ceiling, in order to create room for Sasha and the rest of the group. Bingus is just about to touch foot on the landing, with Elias, Pendleton, and Morgan still to descend.

The dwarf, carrying the torch across the bridge, manages to dislodge a huge, previously unseen bat that was dangling overhead. The black creature, with a 5-foot wingspan, begins fluttering about wildly, clearly agitated. A concealed door on the far wall opens up (just north of #7) and a male wearing plate armor is seen. He brings a hand to his mouth.

Siirist holds his hand to see if the man or bat does anything to indicate hositlity. If he does, then Siirist throws his spear at the bat.

Sasha will also wait to see if Dagg can get across without being molested by man or bat. If he is attacked, she will shoot an arrow at the giant bat.

Is there something in the mans hand? Perhaps a horn for sounding an intrusion alarm?

Morgan waits up top to descend the ladder. She watches behind her for anything entering the small building.

Pendleton also waits topside.
