I think kindly of Hobbits, Mirachele smiles. Most think as I do, to remain unseen until they want to be seen. If you have Thieving skills, what a team we'd make!

Halo slumbers peacefully

Blodget, Halfling Thief:

The young hobbit's eyes brightened. "Thieving skills? Oh, that I do m'lady, and no mistake!
"Wait! ..."Team"? Us?!?"
He smiled like a child who fell into a vat of cream. "I should be honoured!"

Trotter

Trotter appears smoking his pipe and notices the new guy. He greets him with a hand ready for shaking saying, Hullo, I see you're friendly or else we'd have a fight on our hands right about now. I'm Trotter, ranger of the west and member of this band of brothers. I have some great pipe-weed: always a great way to start a new friendship. Well, to start that, to start the day, to start an adventure, to start cooking. I think it's all around useful.

Blodget, halfling thief:

The little hobbit couldn't believe what he saw. Another halfling! Who was a mighty champion! With pipe weed!
"That it is, my lord! That it is! My name's Blodget! Very pleased to make your acquaintance, Mr. Trotter, sir! Very pleased indeed, sir!"
The halfling bowed, shook hands, produced his pipe and said, "Adventure?! Are you great heroes questing to find the terrible sky monsters that have been plaguing the villages?!"

As the newcomer introduces himself, the rest of the party begins to awaken to another dark morning.

After memorizing the days magic, Wyntar casts his spells of divination to learn more about your newly found potions and rings.

He gets no reading on the first potion, in fact, he discovers that it's not even magical at all.

The second potion seems to be attuned to letting the imbiber move much more quickly.

The third will allow the drinker to fly for an indeterminate amount of time.

Xano was correct in her assumption that the ring she wears will allow her to go without food and water while Halos ring makes the wearer a superb swimmer.

FYI. For the players that are curious.... the ring that Drez took (that Wyntar now has) was cursed.

It acted in the same way as Boots of Dancing. After the wearer puts it on, the very next melee attack they attempt will make them dance uncontrollably.

That might have been humorous if it would have happened in a large group battle where he could have been protected by his comrades, but when he went off on his own and attacked the Gnolls in the tower, it ended up being deadly for him.

The Gnolls subdued Drez and then took most of his items. When they couldn't remove the shiny cursed ring, they simply chopped off most of his hand and took it that way, hence the strange dancing Gnoll on the wall tossing fingers.

Will there be any treasure distribution or anything else the group would like to do before you leave or can we move along to the next stage?

Halo looks at the new ring. "Well at least I won't drown in my armour," he jokes.

Moving to the new halfling the paladin introduces himself and bows. "Welcome to our band. What do you know of the current situation?

When Blodget saw a halfling paladin, he couldn't contain himself any longer. He hadn't been this happy and excited since his sixth birthday. "My name is Blodget! At your service, Mr. Halo, sir! You don't have any pipeweed too, do you?
"Welcome?? Thank you! I don't know what to say! Gosh! If they could see me now back at Mudmarsh Farm!
"Current situation?? Naught but rumours and stories, I'm afraid. Strange horrible creatures flying out of the sky, raiding the peaceful villages 'round these parts."

Blodget was beaming with pride, just like the last time he was asked to join a gallant company of legendary heroes. Of course, one week later, they were all dead. Or undead. But Blodget was never one to dwell on the negative.

"Well Blodget, it's fair good to see another member of our kin here abouts. These winged demons are in for a tough time with this load of longshanks" he says thumbing in the taller companions direction.

He pats the thief upon the back and shakes his head about the weed. "I am sure your skills as a trap springer and locksmith will prove invaluable to our band, and of course you won't be stealing anything obviously!" he beams happily

Blodget, halfling thief:

"Steal? Noooo. Course not! Never! Um. Well. Uh... What have you heard about the winged daemons, Mr. Halo, sir?"

Chewy, the plucked bird man, listens intently to the hobbits conversation. His eyes grow big when he hears about the nearby villages being attacked. He speaks in his squawky voice...

Shocking!
Up until now the attacks have only happened against us denizens of the mountains, but now they seem to be growing bolder if they are attacking people.

He seems pleased that someone is actually discussing the problem instead of worrying about silly trinkets so he continues to listen and nod his feathery head.

I have yet to hear any sort of description of these flying demons, Mira observes. If we could be more well-informed about them, we can be better prepared to deal with them.

Blodget, halfling thief:

Blodget said, "Oh, my lady, I've heard tell that they are giants! Black as night! With... six arms each! Seven! And... claws like swords! And... they breathe fire! And water! ...Honest."

After hearing the thiefs obvious exaggerations, Chewy jerks his head back and gives him a quizzical look.

Blodget, halfling thief:

The young hobbit's face turned red as an autumn apple. He looked down at his hairy feet and mumbled, "Well leastways, that's what I heard..."

Mira peers at Blodget sideways. I see...

Xanophia- In thieves cant. Welcome to our little group of hero's. It is good to have another thief back in the party. We lost a brother just yesterday to some foul beats that tried to take control of this fort. Stay by my side and we will become rich together in glory and profit. She pats the hobbit on the back. She giggles when she the hobbits description of there enemy.

"Well the problem is, apart from our discourteous bird friends vague description here we haven't had much information on what we face. The Sunlords light will enlighten us I have no dout. Are we about ready to begin our journey? Are you coming with us Blodget? Thank you for identifying the rings Wyntar. Your magic is, as usual, astounding! Is anyone in need of further healing before we leave?"
