Well met

It seems I joined this site back in November and while I have been lurking about never introduced myself. So here it goes...
I started played D&D actually before 1e came out. A friend had some of those small paperback books on the game. We introduced some friends to the game and had a group with lasted five years or so. We'd switch out being DM/player, which worked very well. Then real life got in the way, though I still thought about the game. Later I introduced my sons to the game. When I went to purchase him his own books 2e was the game (news to me).
I joined an online game or two, then had one that took off and lasted five years where I played Cauchy the halfling thief. This was 2e. I read about 3e, but never was interested in playing it. While 1e and 2e are fairly similar, I found 3e, 3.5e, 4e, and probably 5e just not worth the effort of learning all the mechanics. Besides a Kobold with 23 hp just did not seem right.
Anyway, I'm on a couple D&D sights as Cauchy, though generally don't have much to say. Currently playing a couple PBP games (though it took 2.5 years for my mage to reach 2nd level). I'm thinking about joining a game here, so figured I'd best introduce myself.
Well met,
Cauchy
