Nice to be over here - thanks to GrognardSW for mentioning the place.

Started playing twenty two years ago, took about a decade off, got really bored not being creative. Learned that it's a big challenge to fit FtF gaming into a grown up life.

Now I'm trying to recruit literate and focused players for a PbP game, either over at giantitp forums, or here, depending who's most interested. The setting derives from Avalon Hill's Magic Realm, with a few little twists. PCs would start outside the realm and venture in. Looking for 3-5 players. I know MR was a solo, competitive game; we could go that way ...

I am very open as to ruleset so long as it's fairly simple - i.e. OSRIC is about the top end of complexity, Adventure Fantasy Game would be the bottom end of simplicity.

Well, that's the intro that matters to me. Any questions?

Yeah, not to bash other forums but giantitp is not the best place for OSR games. These forums are far superior for that sort of game.

Welcome, Eulalios!

While I don't have any familiarity with the other board you linked to, I can speak to this one... which is fantastic. There is a good lot of players, top notch moderators, and ToniXX, the site creator, is extremely responsive.

Regardless of what you ultimately decide, good luck with your new game.
