Deciding that the dangers of a potential alarm outweigh the benefits of potential information source, the party attacks the helpless giantesses. Blue rips one giantess limb-from-limb while the party slice, beat, and stone the other to a painful death. For his part, Gaerys casually "unzips" the guts of the attacking matron.
The party is left to survey a room full of food refuse and dirty giant "dishes", which are a combination of crude giant implements and items clearly raided from civilized lands.

Vorsyin was contemplating employing a language spell so that he could probe the giantesses for information but was too slow to act. He silently curses himself at the loss of potentially important facts that could have been gathered. The group has impressed him with their ferocity but he has a nagging feeling that they have yet to face the strongest of the giants. He hopes that whatever they come across can continue to be overcome as quickly and easily as what they have seen so far.

Gaerys scowls as he slices through the matron, then turns to the rest of the party. "I must admit I am somewhat uncomfortable with our path so far. Women, children, the sleeping and the aged; giant or no, these are not the foes we came here to slay."

I do not doubt that many of those we have slain would quickly have done the same to us, and might have been threats at our flank. And yet I cannot help but ponder what our reaction would be if our enemies snuck into one of our towns and started out by killing our children and mates."

Without going into the room, nothing but walls and doors can be seen, illuminated by a few smoky torches set into the wall.

Gaerys suggests that the party start with the door on the east wall. The west doors look like they may lead to the area Antheris described as the great hall, and it would probably be good to check out the areas to the east first.

Ethan gives the giantess room a once over before leaving, looking for papers, or maybe keys? Is that a chest on the map? A quick once over for anything that stands out while the initial scouting is going on.
Ethan is in favor of going through the door, and exploring to the east first, but checking the hallways before hitting the door.

If no one in the party proposes an alternate plan, Gaerys will step into the U-shaped hallway and quickly look it over. Assuming he finds nothing of interest, he will listen at the eastern door of the hallway and check the gap (if any) under the door for light. If he hears no sign of threat through the door (and can't just slide under the door), he'll slowly open it and peek inside, Giantbane at the ready.

Gaerys and Luna enter the u-shaped hallway. Hearing no sound coming from the door on the east, they quickly see that, just south of that door, the room dog-legs east and then opens south into a large "show place."

Gaerys wonders in a low voice, "I wonder, with all these trophies . . . maybe we're heading towards the chieftain's quarters? Let's take a look around the room but not dawdle."

Ethan quickly pockets the treasure, and joins the others in exploring the trophy room. He will examine the arms, armor and shields to see of any are especially notable, or bear crests he would recognize. Better to return those to civilization, if possible.
He'll also check out the heads and skulls looking for signs of the kinds of things the giants consider worthy of making a trophy. Are these bears and such, or dragons? Is the "humanoid" the size of the giants, or something bigger/stranger? He won't spend a lot of time on this, but if these are the giants trophies, is he super powerful and well traveled, or are they just scaled up versions of what a petty warlord would have?

The skull was that of a hill giant...likely a deposed rival or venerated ancestor. In taking a closer look, Ethan noticed a mineral-like glint from the inside.
Most of the weapons and armour was of giant-size and useless to the party. However, the shields were all very finely crafted and each bore a signs of 6 minor noble houses of the north. They were obviously trophies for the giants, taken from raids or in battles to defend the STEADING.

The mounted heads and skins were humanoid -- some civilized people of the north, some of various tribes of wildlings, including one cannibal half-giants of the Frozen Shore, of other hill giants (likely rival tribes). There were also a fair number of mega-fauna represented -- mammoth, sabre-cat, aurochs, and cave bear. There were no dragons or fantastical creatures. It was clear that this Nosra was a tough customer but not unusual for a hill giant.
Were the nobles of the North just overreacting to getting their asses kicked in raids? Was Nosra just a pawn in a larger game? These were questions that still needed answers.
