The last thread hit 20 pages, so I'm starting a new one.

My Access

Update:

While I won't likely have access to the game during the workday in the immediate future, I will be getting a mobile hotspot for my laptop in the next few days which will allow me time to check in on and update the game on both legs of my daily commute (and maybe the occasional lunch hour as well). Once I get a smartphone (I'm holding off until the keynote speech at the WWDC on June 10th in anticipation of iOS 7 news), I should be able to check in more often during the day, but will most like reserve lengthy action posts and die rolling for when I'm on my laptop.

Now, to hope the party survives this current encounter. :?

Sorry, the next update will not be until tomorrow as I spent my night watching game 7 of the Blackhawks-Red Wings game.

I really enjoy hockey - especially playoff hockey - and it will be fun now that my favorite team is going up against Wil Wheaton's favorite team.

Time to start harassing him via Twitter. ;)

Any chance any of you are a follower of Chris Perkins' game? WW sits in once a year.
Acquisitions Incorporated has got to be the best name for an adventuring party that I have ever heard of.
I dont know why, but I can't turn away. Pretty funny sometimes.
They have recorded about 5 or 6 episodes in total, but only three or four have video.
Im sure you can find them on youtube, or wizards.com, audio podcasts too.
keywords, chris perkins, acquisitions inc.

Don't like those as much, personally. I do like to listen to the Critical Hit podcasts (on itunes). That's a pretty good series (granted it's 4th edition) but has some good story lines. DM is good.

I watched a bit of one video about a half year or so ago. I was all excited that they were playing a "red box" game, before I realized it was a 4E game. I watched the first part of adventure, but didn't move on to the next video because I really don't care for that ruleset and didn't even recognize the game.

Yeah there's tons of that stuff on you tube - celeb d&d but have found any 1 or 2 e yet (no surprises). I have never played a newer edition but seems too many rules to me instead of using commonsense. An example:
DM "You see some humanoid figures about 100 yards away"
Player "I look at them to see if I know what they are"
DM "Can you make a perception check"
Player rolls dice
DM "and now an intelligence check"
Player rolls dice

Really? To see if you recognise something that close? Underlines why I have no interest past 2e!

I'm a lifelong, die hard Cubs fan, so bring it on! (this is ooc, but in Cubbie blue and not Cardinal red.) I don't catch many of their games on TV but, as an avid fantasy baseball player, I follow them (and most teams) pretty closely.

I have had a fully dressed hot dog in front of Wrigley and a few cold ones in The Cubby Bear across the street (that place still need a make-over?) so I can appreciate the love there.
Here in KC, its been a hard row to hoe. The Royals havent came thru since 85, and the Chiefs?, 1969.

Sucky suck sucks. :(

We are getting our tails handed to us, and not a dang thing the dice roller is doing to assist us.
I dont think Ewell has hit one thing this battle.

Not too familiar with Druids but they have healing and presumably same free casting as clerics right? So healing Garth has to be priority to enable him to heal the others...or am I wrong?

The die roller has definitely been dry for you guys lately. Very dry.

I hated to see the critical on Garth because, well, it's a critical, and he only had 4 hit points, but I knew the rare successful hit roll was going to be wasted.

Taking down my bad jokes for a quote is the sincerest form of flattery? :D

Do we want some sort of Requiem or Epilogue thread (since most of us had prologue threads...) for our fallen characters?

Ouch - tough break Raven/Nuke. You went down in a blaze of glory which is the best you can hope for in D&D!

A requiem thread is definitely required.
