EDIT: I guess what we play will be dictated by the dice rolls, right? Will we be using race as class and such?

You get a lot of control over your choices, but I will supply a set of stats for you to work with.

And, yes, OSE uses race as class - the seven options are:

Human Cleric
Dwarf
Elf
Human Fighter
Halfling
Human Magic-User
Human Thief

If you have something outside of these options, we might be able to house rule a compromise.

I am in. I will start working on it once I have a set of rolls.

How do bonus spells work?

Wondering if increasing my Wisdom to 16 is worth dropping my Str, Int, & Dex down 2 points each. Otherwise I might drop just Int & Dex and bump Con to 16 for another hp.

What is the roller?

EDIT: The dice roller? You can create characters with it?

In the upper right corner of the screen you should see "Go to the Unseen Servant Dice Roller". If you click on it you are taken to a sight where you create a another login. Usually the same but not always. Then you can link and show rolls for your character and the campaign. There is also a pre formatted D&D sheet (1e but close enough to basic to easily use). The sheet can be linked so everyone can see it too. I am not very computer savvy so many others would be better at describing it.

Yes you can make any rolls you want. Usually players will make their rolls in game and copy them into their post so you can what they rolled. But you can also go and see in the roller all the rolls made for the campaign so you know people are not making multiple rolls and cherry picking.

Only STR, INT, and WIS may be lowered (to 9), and only a class's PRIME REQUISITE(s) may be raised.

Bonus spells will be PRIME REQUISITE bonus as number of extra 1st level spells (including Cleric spells at 1st level).

Thus, a level one cleric with Wisdon 13 gets one (0 +1) first level spell. And a Magic-User with Intelligence of 16 gets three (1 +2) first level spells.

So I would have to lower all 3 to get Wis to 16 and a +2 bonus spells. I will think about it but not sure I want to go there since I would be giving up a +1 to hit and damage to do it and she will be at least somewhat combat oriented.
