Better Late Than Never . . .

I've already enjoyed some activity here at Unseen Servant, up to and including launching a PbP game --- nonetheless I'll get belated formalities underway.
Greetings, Shadow Shack here. I got into RPG back in merry old 1981 with the Moldvay Basic boxed set and was instantly hooked. I picked up the Expert set shortly afterwards, and the following year I got hooked on Star Frontiers. With a lacking starship system for that game (as KH was a pipe dream and would not debut for another year), I drafted my own house rules. One of the ships I made from that house rule system was a tramp freighter dubbed the SS Volturnian Knighthawk, so imagine my teen glee when I saw that expansion box for Star Frontiers bearing the name "Knight Hawks" (well, two words instead of one and pluralized at that --- still worthy of joygasm
).
A couple years later I picked up the Companion boxed set, not realizing it was a new edition/thinking it was the promised Companion mentioned in Cook Expert. Yeah, it certainly had its mismatches but it wasn't a chore to make it work. That same year a friend, who wanted to host his own Star Frontiers games, went to a hobby shop and they were out of stock so the owner sold him on Traveller. Fast forward to late 2019 and I finally took the plunge into acquiring numerous LBBs myself.
