Skeaping. A trading port. About 500 population. Well built stone houses, market square adjacent to docks. It has significant offworld contact as the trawlers put in here to pick up fresh food and trade for scavenged artefacts. It will have better weapons than most settlements of its size. The three small villages to the south bring their finds from the crater fields to Skeaping

Donat. A large trade port. About 2500 population. Ores and simple manufactured items from the east and south are brought here. There is a power-plant and there are smelting and more advanced manufacturing and processing workshops in small villages scattered across the large island. Offworld trawlers put in for supplies and sometimes trade for local items. There are gunmakers among the workshops, so the defenders will be well armed, all households having rifles and shotguns.

Bisin. An ore-processing community and small port. About 750 population. There are several mines in the mountainous interior. Trade with Donat provides decent weaponry for the defenders.

Lalor. A large town with a small port. Population approximately 1500. The island is a large farming community with many scattered farmsteads. Lalor is the breadbasket of the region. They do not allow trawlers to visit, but local tradeships are welcome. The defence force is moderately armed, but all farms have a few shotguns and hunting rifles.

Canro. A town of about 500 population, port to a farming island. Much like Lalor, only smaller and more insular.

Jats. A fishing community. Population about 750. Insular, hostile to offworld trawlers. Local tradeships are accepted, to trade fish for agricultural products and manufactured goods. Probably the least well armed.
