2. A Peaceful Village in the Hills (action)

Sealgair
"I am fine with it."
Sealgair will lead the way in, on all 4 paws. She is more oriented to her non-visual senses than the others so makes a good scout in the dark.

As Sealgair at the front of your group reaches the far end of the passage - it is about fifteen feet long - Grax enters at the rear of your group.
Sealgair's ursine eyes, aided by the distant refraction of Grax's torch, detect dim shadows of a large natural cavern.
You hear the distant tolling of a mighty bell, its throbbing note sends tremors through your bodies. Sealgair, Wraith, Grax take 1 damage

Re: A Peaceful Village in the Hills (action)
Sealgair, padding forward, opens the way for the others to come out of the low tunnel. She comes to the edge of a shelf, about two feet high, where the dirt floor was cut away by some forgotten course of water. Above her the roof rises steeply. The craggy dome is about twelve feet up. This appears to be a natural stoop formed by water carrying away the dirt from above. The cavern is dry now, though. It appears to be quite broad, the far walls cannot be seen by torchlight.
Grax's torch strikes glints of bright crystals in the rugged walls of earth and stone.
A faint and rhythmic creaking resounds through the cool faintly damp air of the dark space.

If Sealgair can determine the direction of the creaking she will try and work her way towards it.

Wraith
Wraith looks around the area, trying his best to get an idea of where the sound is coming from.

Grax assists in the searching for the source of the sound.

Re: A Peaceful Village in the Hills (action)
Wraith tracks the noise toward the right end of the cave but it comes from beyond the limits of the torchlight. As he waves Grax to advance with the flame, the noise shifts to the left around the cavern, staying always in the shadows.
Again the great distant bell throbs its tremorous note. This time Grax and Elzarune feel the vibrations in their limbs and chests, beating against their pulses. A wave of exhaustion sweeps over them and fades again. They are shaken but standing. Grax, Elzarune, 1 damage
The creaking noise continues, perhaps a little slower.

Could Elzarune cast something similar to a flare at the apex of the room?
