"We should rest and recover, either here in the hut or up in the ruins, both have defensible positions. We ought to spend a little more time looking around down here after, in case we've missed something."

Yeah. I think the idea is to rest in the hut and then explore further with (slightly) better health.

Akhilleus will take first watch if that's fine. Preferably along with someone else. We're enough to make watches in pairs, in case something happens to one of them.

Kain is good is resting in the hut and then pushing forward some more. There is a gem to find.

I'm fine with any course of action. Looks like there might be more to explore down here as the river goes in both directions and I'd bet we find our snake people in at least one of them. But resting up before we go on seems like a must.

I will assist those getting in the boat for the first trip. Happy to stay as the guard over here and wait for the second trip.

Sik, his bloodlust for treacherous little men at last satiated, agrees with the plan to rest at the hut. He volunteers to take first watch with Akhilleus, his heart rate needing some time to cool down before he can go to sleep.

Xenos is happy to take the last watch so he gets enough sleep for spells.

Ceana would like to do the same...when she isn't busy collecting, preparing, and cooking up some healing salves ;)

Under The Zakath Desert
Resting With Mushrooms
No Idea On Time Or Day

Ferrying back across the river in shifts, torches are snuffed after lamps inside the strange hut are lit again, allowing enough light to function while others rest.

Ceana tends to the garden, trying hard not to step on any of the toads and frogs who still gleep sadly at the recent loss of their Mother.

Time passes slowly down here in the darkness, but fortunately nothing comes calling throughout the rest period, allowing casters enough time to replenish their magic.

Starting to lose track of not only what time it is in the dark, but also what day it is, the group is eventually rested enough to attempt another exploration of this uncharted underground cavern.

Actions?

Everyone can remove a couple rations, then roll another hit die for healing, adding it to your next action post.

The ixian tentatively stretches in the morning to find his burns much less tender:

Natural healing: [1d8+1]=7+1=8

He studies his spells and then asks:

"So, do we return to the dwarf caves for a final search in case we missed anything, or search the river bank for another place this gem might be?"

Sheet updated.

Natural healing [1d6+1]=3+1=4

"I am OK with re-searching the caves again then checking the river bank."

Before he rests, Kain will cast some healing on, let's say Belloc. :D Cure Light Wounds: [1d8]=8

Natural Healing for Kain: [1d8]=4

"Let's go up river. The dwarf cave seems played out."

During his turn on watch, Sik will attempt to fish in the river.

Resting HP Recovery: [1d12]=1 (+1)

Sik, after taking his turn on watch, sleeps restlessly, feeling only a little recovered from the battle. He feels the burn on his face which has blistered over, likely to leave significant scarring on his cheek. He remarks sarcastically to Kain,

"Be glad it didn't happen to you, pretty boy."

Akhilleus doesn't rest that well. The horrors of this cave are taking his toll. The former mercenary is more used to fighting humans.

Hit Points: [1d10+1]=1+1=2

"Dammit. I just ate my last rations. I will need your help tomorrow. I hope you have enough.

The dwarf cave has been already searched. Let's go check the river bank. We can always come back later if we're not satisfied with what we find."
