It’s time to put our plan into action. The inbound ships of other clans has just introduced a sense of urgency to get this raid done.

Did I lose track of our plan to steal the Aslan ship? I thought we were supposed to do our little show in their hangar, cause and incident, and then take the ship. However, I did kinda skim-read a lot of posts to catch up after my long silence so I'm not sure I didn't miss a development. Just wanted to check in because Tiv's main thread post threw me for a loop.

Edit: just read Raven's, so I think we are supposed to be going to theirs?

My, admittedly raddled, understanding was that we were initially going for a two stage "intro chez nous" and then a return visit whereby we spill someone's pint (of milk? ) / someone looks at our bird / calls us a liar and we proceed down the very well established "pub fight flow chart" to kick off a bar room brawl.

However, as per your post above we can surely and perhaps much more credibly(?) offer to deliver "Circus Maximus" to the Aslan (doused with "Bad Catnip") with the plan being that it then all suddenly slides into some (minor) varition on a Spartacus/Murderhobo/Aslan survival horror combo...

All of the above have been (and may still be) plans.

Time pressure is not as severe as you fear - the arrival of other clan ships does not mean they will interfere with your schemes, they're just another vendor. Currently, there are no clan wars, just the usual rivalry.

I'll move on the main thread to Medusa tonight with whoever has, by then, joined the party.

Since the Glorious Empire is discarding the inspection deal Tiv established with them, he is thinking of leaning into Her Words' approach directly to the inbound/arrived ships.

How about we invite Asdis to join us with samples of her own...and guards of her own. More soldiers for us, preserves the reason why we are there.

Thoughts?

Tiv is just waiting for Her Word's response to meet at the appointed time to move on the idea.

Who is her word?

The Aslan Emissary.

Her Words Calm Prey is the female Aslan in charge of the trade mission to Blackrock.

Small Birds Singing is her assistant, and translator.


Her Words didn't agree to an exclusive trade deal with Tiv... yet.

The arrangement was that when the Ásgeirr clan ships arrived she would inspect their cargo first, but she was always going to view the other clans too, and choose among them the one best able to supply the warriors she seeks.

She also said her husband was arriving to take part in the inspection.
