Back In The Cave
Moonday, 15th of Goodmonth
Mid Morning, Damp, Dim, Humid
The party scrunches up tightly in the narrow passage so they can all be in the torchlight at the same time. Crestbrook puts his back to the north wall and peers into the tight tunnel. There he sees a very short and narrow passage that ends abruptly in a small chamber complete with another statue.
This statue isn't a minotaur, or a kobold, but a man. A man dressed in simple robes who carries an open book of some kind in his arms. This statue looks old. Very old. With lots of aging and pock marks covering its surface. The expression on the mans stone face is one of complete and utter terror.
There is nothing else inside the chamber that can be seen from the main passage. Crestbrook will need to doff his armor or stand sideways if he intends to attempt to enter this barely 2 foot wide passage. The paladin tries to detect for evil in the room, but when he closes his eyes to concentrate, all he sees is the aging face of poor Cora whispering something to him about avenging her death or some such. He cant make out the exact words in his mind.

Andronichishche listens intently as Sir Crestbrook relays what he can see through the small passage. He furrows his brow for a moment then releases a deep breath.
"It would be foolish for you to remove your armor, for as Alordan said we have yet to encounter Brutus. I am not, however, wearing any armor and so would be the logical choice for this task. The keen eyesight granted by my elven heritage also allows me a better chance to detect any secret doors." A slightly nervous grin sprouts on his face as he continues,
"Besides, we'll need all the strong people out here in the tunnel ... to yank me back by the rope I'll have tied to my waist if I run into trouble!"
If the party agrees, he'll need a rope as he doesn't carry one himself.

Tlachtga
"If you want me to go with you or instead I can. I am smaller than you."
She is 5' 2", 120 lbs.

Andronichishche smiles warmly at Tlachtga. "Thank you, Miss Tlachtga. I cannot ask you to go in my stead, but I would be grateful for you to join me. I expect you may be small enough to fit with your armor as well, perhaps sans the shield. We'll loop one rope around us before we proceed, and I expect even our combined weight should prove no issue to the might of our fighters."

Seeing Tlachtga prepare to enter the narrow passage the paladin sets down the 10' pole and equips his shield in his left hand. He then stands guard looking towards the passage heading west ready to strike anything that posses a threat.
Lerrick
The cleric positions herself to provide as much torch light to Tlachtga as she can.

Tlachtga
Tlachtga readies herself, leaving her shield behind. She will draw her scimitar and makes sure her dagger is easily drawn in tight quarters.
"I am ready. Cu, Fuirich"

Back In The Cave
Moonday, 15th of Goodmonth
Mid Morning, Damp, Dim, Humid
A pair of smaller, unarmored members of the group tie a rope around themselves and squeeze through the narrow opening, making their way towards the statue of the horrified man. Once inside the narrow chamber, they don't notice anything but the statue. There is nothing else inside the tiny chamber. The man appears to be dressed in simple robes, carrying an open book of some kind in his arms. This statue looks old. Very old. With lots of aging and pock marks covering its surface. The expression on the mans stone face is one of complete and utter terror.
Looking at the floor, there are scratches in the stone that might indicate that the statue was pushed or slid in here from out in the wider chamber. No secret doors or compartments are found in the walls or the artwork. The larger tunnels where the remainder of the group is remains quiet.

Andronichishche completes his survey of the statue and the small chamber itself. Discovering nothing unusual or anything not visible from the tunnel, he squeezes back through the narrow passage and unties the rope from his waist.
"It's definitely as it appeared, a very old statue. Although the degree of marring suggests it was outside, subject to weather erosion. It would seem the statue didn't go with the whole minotaur decor and was shoved in there for storage?" He then moves back to join Maag in his marching position and reviews his map.
"I suggest continuing on to the west."

"I think we found our wizard. Looks like he may have been one of the Medusa's first victims."
She will work he way out after doing one last search.

Sir Crestbrook the Mighty
Once everyone is back in party order the paladin stows his shield and picks up the 10' pole and proceeds further west. Now he does so by looking downward, then side to side, then up at the ceiling, never looking directly straight ahead.
Lerrick
The cleric follows the others.

Alordan asks, "Did you try to see if the statue could be moved? maybe those scratches mean there is something underneath? The book he was holding, is their any legible writing on it that may help us?"

Andronichishche blinks in confusion and reddens slightly in embarassment. "I honestly didn't even think of checking the book for anything legible. Perhaps something may still be visible after the petrification process? The statue itself I don't think I'd have a chance of even budging, but if one of you stronger fellows would assist we can certainly try!" Andron will slip back into the small chamber and check if any writing is discernible on the book's open pages. He'll also assist in moving the statue to check underneath it.
