I didn’t mean to make it sound like Drest was the only one who could pursue.

The dwarf, its hands still tied, continues to run out of the cave and into the darkness. One by one the party members give chase, trying to take the thing down, but one by one they miss the mark, falling flat on their faces when the attempt to dive at their prey. Belloc gets a good slingshot off that hits the thing in the back as it flees, slowing it somewhat as the arrow fired by Taibhse flies off harmlessly into the darkness. The chase can certainly continue, but at the moment, those who are pursuing are becoming separated from the folks who didn't give chase. Kain reluctantly follows with his torch to help light the way.

Ceana tells Akhilleus to lead on. Akhilleus lets the others know he is standing guard where he is. Cyril? Undecided.

Sik is getting sick of missing the dwarf, and decides to kill him instead.

To hit: [1d20+2]=7+2=9 (THAC0:19), damage with battle axe: [1d10+2]=3+2=5
To hit: [1d20+2]=20+2=22 (THAC0:19), damage with battle axe: [1d10+2]=10+2=12

(I assume I can do two attacks this round with battle axe mastery?)

The bound dwarf jukes and jives as he runs away, the party diving for his legs, but still unable to catch the evasive creature.

Sik gets mad enough to howl, finally throwing his battle ax through the air, sticking it right into the dwarfs back, knocking it to the ground in a violent fashion. Xenos runs up to finish the job, putting the suddenly paralyzed brute out of its misery by ending its life right there on the shore of the underground river.

The remainder of the group still in the caves are not confronted by any threats while the others eliminate the possibility of anything else being roused by the runner.
