Frank orders the team to move forward in formation, eyes-open for hostiles.
ooc:lots of opportunities for people to hide in the garden, do you want a recon roll?
They didn't show up on my drone's sensors if they are hiding; didn't move when the attack came in. And my Recon ability is a joke. My Sensor Ops is very good though.

they could have military grade IR camo, and it's a decent sized area. The team has plenty of people with a decent recon skill, hence moving in formation. I was asking Tig if he wanted Frank and the other recon specialists to roll.

(OOC: Yes, please - there is a need.
For those in the pool/park as per the published map: Please make a Recon Roll
As per my understanding this is: Frank, Jess, Prerna and Kit
Just post the rolls not actions because these will be overtaken by immediate events - if you see what I mean...
At least I do... probably...
NB Freya is currently off this map in the "sun lounger area" to the south adjacent to the outside "glass wall".
BackworldTraveller please feel free to amend her location as per the above in case of my poor communication

Frank
Recon (1): [2d6+1]=5+1=6

additional +1 from INT if applicable.

Prerna
Roll[2d6]=6 + Recon-1 = 7

Kit
"Freya, there is no need for you to hack the doors when I have the key. Please understand while your team has restricted access to the Guard side, I do not."
Recon roll - (No Recon Skill but Int of B) [_2d6]=(2+2)=4

Jess is Cavalry, she's used to using Sensors for Recon, not MkI Eyeball.
[2d6]=5

Kit will know that this "bay" was being used as a temporary jail for POWs (pirates).

Sorry, I misunderstood - I thought we were talking about the garden side door entrance to the Guard area.

Updated map:

- Current TacMap Pool2.jpg (451.98 KiB) Viewed 339 times
The
RED door SW corner (leading into the Guard "side" of the accommodation) is the
deadlocked door to the (empty) jail.
The "new" blank area is the front sun lounger bay - also empty.

OK - Completely miss-understood map...But same basic plan applies...in through the deadlocked door!

No worries!
Freya can see this bay is clear due to its smaller size and unobstructed lines of sight.
So, henceforth she and her drone (and Freddy her deputised "minder") will be in the southern "blank" bay - doing their thang and trying the red door.

SHMC Command (Frank, Prerna, Jess)
Command will need to task forces to the advance into the central “pool/park” area.
These will be via the
five west leading hatches (see joined up map in the images thread) these are (now) numbered 1 to 5 north to south. E.g. Hatch 1 is by the Med bay while 4 is in the East/West corridor
above the hangar.
All will be well aware that the unit has no where near enough strength to do “all of the things all of the time” but has enough fighting power to “work the problem”.
OOC: Part of that process may be freeing up some fighting strength from the current “Sitrep” as above.

OOC:
A slight "logistical pause" before you plunge into the park but it suddenly dawned on me that:
a) Both you and I need to know where you're going
and
b) you need to have thought about it!

Prerna takes her team through the entrance by the fountain in a triangle formation with herself at the apex, Baker to the left, and Easy to the right.

If you're interested, I can bring Freddie and enter the garden from the south-west rather than continuing west.

Frank
Seeing Prerna beginning to move
"Sorry Major, one moment..." he turns to Kit
"Major Ghoshal, can you briefly confirm what's behind each of the doors on the other side, and which of them is the best option for entry. Also, do you have a comms unit? if so we should loop you in"
ooc: If Kit has a comms unit then Frank will have Dubbs hook him in as a visitor on the Officers channel

"Ms Ingridsdottir, If you and Freddie can remain where you are and keep watch on the garden for us then that would be appreciated. I'd rather you didn't move further until we are sure the area is secure"
