Monocar

Looks disappointed. He is trying to figure out what is wrong with the powers he knows he possesses and then hears Galanthas's question about head trauma. Hey, I did! How'd you know? Oh, wait... I suppose you were there, huh? He nods a little and then looks where the injured Jax certainly is. Should we... move him? I feel like I could carry him no problem. Maybe we could take him out of the temple at least? I know we could always fall back to the cabin, but we are already here. Then again, this seems like a defendable position... wait... how did he get hurt?

Luther
Luther rolls his eyes at Monocar's antics, too preoccupied to be annoyed.
I don't suppose any of you can stop this invisibility early, can you?
Krystal, are you hurt?
I don't like the idea of leaving you two here, but it may be the smart choice.

Avaala the Grey

Avaala listens to Luther and then says, "I'm not sure I could end it early myself. But more importantly, I'm not sure I want to end it. Krystal and Jax are far better defended when they are invisible. If it weren't for Treasure, we would likely have overlooked them. No reason to think this evil Cleric would have any better luck." A moment later, he continues. "Think about this. This room has no other exits. It is made of solid stone. Krystal will be here. Jax may well be here, if that potion is what we think it is. They can defend a position that we can retreat to if necessary. And they will certainly have surprise on anyone else that comes here."
"There is no spoon."

Wes

"Here seems as good as anywhere", the druid admits. "Though if we disturb a hornets' nest beyond this point, we may have to run back further than here to be safe".

Brother Gilbert

I agree, they should stay here for the moment. It is difficult enough to heal someone that is visible; if they are invisible, treating the patient is far more difficult to impossible. Perhaps if the healer wears a blindfold, it might be easier to treat Jaxsen.

Galanthas grows impatient. He doesn't seem to like being ignored. He starts hitting his club against the floor: "Hey! You there! I'm here! Didn't I say I have several potions here?!" he waves the orange potion in his other hand.

The reckless elf might have forgotten this is not the best place to kick up a row.

Krystal sneers at the elf with the potion, even though he cant see her unfriendly expression.

"Are you talking to me, elf? Bring your potion here! I will help him drink it. He is unconscious already, so what more could it hurt him?"

She speaks in Luther's direction next. "I am not injured, but thanks for your concern. Jaxsen took the explosion almost directly to his face though, so he is in very bad shape at the moment."

The rest of the group discuss their options, suggesting that the rest of the immediate area could still be searched while the scouts stay hidden and rest.

Chauncey tries to hide his mounting academic interest in seeing how, exactly, an unidentified potion might affect an unseen recipient. “Yes... ahem... he’s unconscious. What could it hurt?” he says.

Jaxsen Reiter

If Jaxsen has anything to say about it, he welcomes the chance to test the orange potion!

Galanthas gets awkwardly embarrassed when he finally catches the group's attention. He approaches to where both Jaxsen aand Krystal are supossed to be and stretches his hand in their general direction, holding the potion. "Here... here it is."

Monocar

Looks over at Chauncy. Hey... if the potion is visible... but Jaxson is invisible... will his invisible body hide the visible potion or will we see the potion just kind of falling and then floating in mid air like?

Wes

The druid continues to watch the room behind everyone as the conversation with Krystal continues.

“Growing up my mothe... ahem... in our house there was a book, purportedly from another reality, in which was described a man who, invisible, was nonetheless betrayed by a bit of bread and cheese he had consumed. But there is, Monocar, as they say, only one way to find out,” Chauncey replies.

The invisible Krystal reappears once she takes the orange potion from Galanthas and pops the stopper from the bottle. Everyone watches her intently now as she raises the monks badly burnt head and attempts to pour the liquid past his unseen lips. She doesn’t appear to be injured, but she does look a bit frazzled by the whole ordeal so far.

Unfortunately, the episode isn’t nearly as cool to watch as Monocar hoped once none of the liquid is actually seen leaving the bottle. For a moment, nothing happpens at all, until you each suddenly hear Jaxsen gasp loudly as he inhales a full breath that fills his lungs. Krystal smiles genuinely as she hands the empty bottle back to the elf and suddenly disappears again.

You hear a bit of hacking and coughing from Jaxsen, so he has obviously become conscious again, but you can’t tell if the potion has actually healed the young man or not.

Jaxsen Reiter

The monk's voice responds to Galanthas' question from about five feet above the floor. "Some, yes," says Jax. "I'm still badly burned, but at least I am up and around." There is a sharp intake of breath as Jax remembers something. "A trap! On the door.... I saw some kind of rune or glyph shine out and then... I think it exploded fire on me! That is what got me. Be careful!" There is another pause, and then, "Krystal, it was you, wasn't it? You pulled me away from that door?"
"There is no spoon."
