The Descent
Re: The Descent
Ruk comes to shaken but alive (3 hp)
Re: The Descent
Ruken sits up with a jolt, coughing his lungs out as he looks around all groggy eyed again. "Damn! How many times must I die before we finish this?" Then gnome then turns to his friend and holds his forearm for support as he thanks him profusely. "Truely, it has been a miracle that has kept me alive all these years, and you are all part of it! Boy will I have stories to tell when I come back home..." Ruken frantically looks around as he lifts himself back up, still a bit shaky from the whole ordeal. "Did we get them all, is the deed done?"

Re: The Descent
Ruken the gnome will scrounge around the place for the king's crown and any other shiny objects that might catch his eye. "I thinks we will need to bring the crown with us, as proof of our deed here. A robed one huh? I think I will stick to my wand now..."

Re: The Descent
Joven to Ruk "I think you are likely correct if they still don't believe us we might have to take it's head." he then also searches the downed demon things for items of interest to him.

Re: The Descent
After helping the gnome to his feet Gregorius will wait while the others search the bodies. "Let us hope that I am able to keep us all alive for a bit longer, we have more evil to purge from this place."

Re: The Descent
The mace the crowned demon was wearing and the short sword the captain had both look old and expertly made and have ruins on the hilt. The king also has a plain gold band on 1 finger.
Even though this demon had a crown he does not fit the description given to us by the villagers. he was no more than 4' tall and the demon that confronted the elders was over 6'

Re: The Descent
Gregorius handles the mace for a moment, "What magic holds to this piece? Perhaps a foul curse that fits these twisted creatures?" After hearing Letholdus's words Gregorius ponders for a moment, "Then we have yet to kill the true leader of this filthy coven or this stout little thing used some sort of magic to appear larger, either way we have more evil to vanquish today."

Re: The Descent
"Illusionary magics have been known to do that, make things appear bigger and much more grander than what they really are, I know that much," chimes in Ruken as he listens to the conversation about known rumors. "I am hoping though that there will just be the one robed demon left. This cave has been.... too tiring, more so than any other excursion we've had as a group. I do not know why...." The gnome looks visibly tired and certainly feels it, mentally and physically. "There better be some happy faces when we return with the demon's crown. I better see those happy faces!" He forces a grin up towards no one in particular, as if he was in a little imaginary world of his own.
Re: The Descent

Re: The Descent
Where did we see the robed demon run off to? You said the stairs, so the X on the map?
It seems we have but one tunnel to flesh out next... Lets get this place done!

Re: The Descent
Joven will go up the stairs cautiously and as quiet as he can manage sword out the whole way.

Re: The Descent
Ruken will follow everyone from a distance, probably next to Oralorn. He will have his wand at the ready, not wanting to risk getting hurt while using the pick axe.
Re: The Descent
you arrive at the top of the stairs to an empty cave
