And on another note, sorry for being radio silent for a while. Things have been fairly busy on my end, what with having to take care of my kid while her school went back into lockdown, and managing an HVAC installation at the house that went awry (but was resolved well, ultimately). Anyway, I'll try to chime in a bit more in the near future.

Hi all, stopping by while I have a little strength. Tuesday afternoon after my wife tested positive for Covid, I tested positive. This flu really saps your strength and leaves you couch or bed bound for a huge portion of the day. I will post when possible, but please NPC my character instead of waiting for me.

Okay everybody! Another Adventure successfully completed, well-done!

I figure for those who'd like to continue on (and I sincerely hope all of you do!) I figure my next "Adventure" will be a bit more "sand-boxy"....I'm going to use some materials I have to set up a 'campaign area' (I.e. the Elrood Sector and adjacent Minos Cluster); have you guys essentially be given a load of goods (I can come up with something or you guys can) and told to essentially be 'Traders' in the area utilizing the Nova Kestrel....and I'll come up with Pirate Groups, Crime Syndicates, Honest and not-so-honest Companies/Trading Guilds, etc., etc. and you guys can tell me where you want to go (I'll come up with a list of planets, etc.) and we can go from there.

Is there anything in particular that people would like to experience in these adventures? More haggling/bargaining situations? More Force Using folks? (I'm kinda thinking about brining back Xerris....thoughts Starbeard?)....more crime/bounty hunter encounters? Or stick to more Rebel vs. Empire situations as we have been?

I hope people are having fun, I know I always enjoy what you guys come up with!

I would like to boost Kit's Lightsaber with all 12 points, which I think puts it at 4D+2.

I'm up for anything, I don't really have any strong preferences so I'm happy with whatever you fancy, Max!

Clark will put:
* 5 points into Blaster (raising it to 5D+2)
* 4 points into Gunnery (raising it to 4D+1)
* 3 points into Demolition (raising it to 3D+1)

I would like to bring all my Force skills up to 4D please, that should cost 12 points exactly.

Oh man, it sounds like you're pulling out two of my favorite SWD6 books for this! I've never really used them out of the box either, mostly just the trading rules, so it should be a real treat to finally play them for the first time too.

I think if Vale ever learned the whereabouts of his old master, or even just any other Jedi out there, then he would try to find them. I would be open to that as a potential hook, even leaving him on a "Luke trains on Dagobah" side quest while I play another side character who joins the party for a bit (I guess that would be Lando in that analogy).

I'm happy to take the overall game wherever you find the most fun GM. I like doing the tramp freighter speculative trading thing, but I know that's boring to a lot of folks and we could keep that in the background while we focus on tangling with crime bosses and the occasional secret Imperial conspiracy.

An overarching economic story with buying/selling/shipping to raise money for something (hookers and blow), while running into shorter episodes of running blockades or detangling from pirates. But look at me, biting off a lot for someone else to chew.

I'm good with anything that keeps you engaged Max.

1. Kipper: Points spent, check...thanks!

2. Rex: You can't raise a skill more than 1 full Dice (3 pips) during advancement, so you could spend 10 points to get to 4D+1 in Lightsaber and have 2 points left over....maybe put them in CONTROL to raise it from 1D+2 to 2D? Another idea that comes to mind is put 6 skill points in Lightsaber to raise it to 4D.....and then spend 5 of the remaining 6 points (leaving 1 for later) to gain the SENSE Force Skill and one of the Powers that Vale has (presumably he'd be teaching Kit).....so either Lightsaber Energy Parry, Life Sense, Empathy or Farseeing. I don't know just spitballin' amigo, let me know what works for ou.

As for your ideas...umm....Xerris killed your Master.....but if you want to have Vale go off on a 'side quest' and introduce a new PC, I'm cool with that too. As for the published material, I'll certainly be using some of it...but some of it might be altered SLIGHTLY to MAJORLY.....

4. Rose: Thanks amigo....looks like we're going down the "Trading with side quests of Anti-Imperial action, etc.".....I'm kinda thinking trying to get a 'Firefly' vibe......ish.....

RIGHT, sorry, I got mixed up on who Xerris was.

No way would Vale have anything to do with Xerris except as a nemesis (which would be pretty cool). But the other point stands too, if Vale ever found rumors about other Jedi he would track them down and possibly want to train to learn more powers and grow.

And I think we're all expecting you to alter the published stuff somewhat. Personally I've only pulled a few things here and there from the books I'm thinking of, so other than some of the setting descriptions I can't even remember what any of the adventure material is, even though rules-wise they're among my favorite books!

I'll spend the 12 points on the following for Jackson:

• 3 points to raise Con to 3D+2
• 3 points to raise Hide/Sneak to 4D
• 3 points to raise Streetwise to 3D+2
• 3 points to raise Computer Operation to 4D

Zuul will raise melee to 5D, and Blasters to 6D+1.

Using 10 points.

ybn: Jackson's points are spent and sheet updated....

Rose: Zuul's points and skills on sheet updated...you've still got 4 points (2 saved from before, 2 from this time)...so please spend them on something....perhaps Raising Slugthrowers or Demolitions or Search or Hide/Sneak?

I'm hoping Solo responds to my PM....if not, maybe an update in this thread will work.....Jedi, you still interested/able to play in this game amigo? I hope so, but if not, that's cool too.

Okay, so Solo says he's still in.....hopefully he can hop on and let me know how he wants to spend his skill points here soon, also, Rose, please spend some/all of those 4 Skill Points as well.

Okay all, over the next couple of days I'll get some posts up....I'll try to make some kind of semi-understandable map of the 2 Sectors you guys will be traveling in for the next "Campaign" of adventures......

I'm calling it 'Starbox' as a play off of 'Sandbox'; with the idea being that the Alliance is essentially telling you guys; "Thanks for all you've done....take a load off; go relax in these 2 'out of the way Sectors with minimal Rebel and Imperial presence'.....your 'mission' is a loose "collect Intel" as you do some free-trading/adventuring/vacationing in these 2 Sectors (Brak Sector and the Minos Cluster).....also notable is the border of the two Sectors is a special Nebulae known as 'The Maelstrom' that a regular Star Liner Cruise (The Kuari Princess) journeys along.

The Alliance will have given you guys some goods to do some business with.....and essentially, there will be a list of places you can choose to go too (some basic Intel will be given about the different places) and Cal and Jackson will have a few contacts they know; and you guys can have some choice on where to go/what to do....and adventures will flow from the choices.

As Solo is likely to not be on the boards that often; if a 'Captain' of the group has to make a choice, for now I'll default to Clark as the longest serving member of the group....but hopefully consensus will be pretty easy.

I'll be culling various sources for adventure ideas and hopefully they flow well together. Anybody have any ideas/questions?

I'm planning on throwing some old story line ideas/NPCs into the mix here and there....so possibly some old foes/allies might crop up as well and if anybody has anything they think would be cool let me know.......crime syndicate encounters, Jedi artifacts, personal character development stuff, whatever. I can't promise I'll use everything....but I'll try to make it interesting!
