The Road to Hospital!

Getting Hot, Humid

Mac is having a little more trouble keeping the stress out of his voice than he tries to let on, but takes a deep breath and keeps on talking to dispatch.  Is he coherent?  Can he speak?

Julia Leans on the almost comedic horn as she takes a wide turn through a major intersection.  She narrowly avoids a collision before she guns the gas again.  Now she is accompanied by a police car coming up alongside them, lights on and siren sounding.  Roy looks over and sees the police car has a window down and he is trying to shout to get their attention.

Julia's Car:

Roy "Uh that officer is trying to get our attention he's shouting something with his window rolled down." he says with his face slightly squashed in the window in the back.

Julia Turns her head to look at the cop and rolls her window down. EMERGENCY ROOM! BAPTIST HEALTH!

PLICEMAN Radios something in... pulls ahead and is in front of Julia now... their way is clear!

911 Dispatch Okay, You have a police officer escorting your right now, correct? What kind of incoherent is he? Any Slurred speech? hallucinations? What can you tell me?

Roy can see that Jason is in bad shape.

Jason you are definitely tasting colors right now. They do not taste fruity at all.

Roy "Uh he doesn't look good I think he's tasting colors somehow. Don't ask how I know the look. It's a long story."

Julia takes full advantage of the police escort and does as Roy says, putting the pedal to the metal, pushing them into their seats as the little 4-banger engine winds up quickly! Was that the whistle of a turbo? Either way, she was on the police car's bumper in no time and he luckily seemed to agree and also sped up. Within no time the whole of Towson Ave was whizzing by in a blur.

Julia's Car:
Julia's Car Mod Engine (10) [7d6] = 34 G: [1d6] = 6 Specialty, Acceleration

+2 for this one :) that is a total of +4 for Jason. I am pushing this forward since this scene is taking longer than I planned. I am also changing this up as to what I said before and since we got +4 to our time, I will say Jason can roll 4d6 at this point to see what the Dr.s can do for him since he got here sooner. Good luck! Sorry, this took so long, I will be simplifying this "good idea" I had.

They all pull into the hospital directly to the ER entrance and there is a team waiting for them, ready to take Jason in.

Are high numbers good? I hope high numbers are good.
Doctors [4d6] = 20
Jason doesn't remember much other than shaking, noise and others actions he cant quiet pin down, but he recognizes the few sensory inputs he gets. It smelled weird, clean and gross at the same time."Oh good the hospital, I hate hospitals but i feel like I'd hate dying of snake bite a lot worse" He couldn't quite see anything distinct, just lights and shapes. He could hear the others talking and shouting other people he didn't quiet know the voices. "Just stay calm, they got you"

Roy compliments Julia's driving "Where'd you learn to drive like that Julia? That was some real street racing like skill back there."

The Hospital!
Mounds of Trouble
Aug. 10, 2018, 10:45am
Hot & Humid

Jason is quickly grabbed in gentle but efficiently urgent hands. They get him on a gurney and quickly roll him through the doors. One of them says: Another Ghostbuster?! That is two this week!

Julia looks over her shoulder at Roy. Uhm... nowhere? Uhhh...

Hard Cool (20) [3d6] = 10 G: [1d6] = 6

Ohhh she was soooooo lying......

Heat of the moment... you know? Plus the Cop helped... Speaking of which... let's get parked and take care of that...

She quickly parks the car and is busy taking care of everything with the police officer who she can confirm everything with, not that it wasn't obvious, but she seemed to know her bureaucracy. The police officer and the dispatcher on the phone were quickly satisfied and everything was taken care of. Julia moved inside the hospital and took care of all the insurance information, sharing what they needed to treat Jason.

A Doctor comes to them after a bit. Great thing you got him here as quick as you did. Poor guy was bit 8 times. He took a lot of venom but we have him stable for now. He is sedated and getting antivenom. We need to keep him here for at least 24 hours and his recovery will take at least 2 weeks while his body learns how to fight it off on its own and heal from the damage.

Okay. You can opt to fast play this out or stay, whatever you like. Jason has a personal thread he will be dealing with right now, but he is out for 24 hours.

Julia Hey guys, Jason is being taken care of now.
They also said Jacob has been sent back home to recover. I have a feeling from what they Dr's said he had a complete mental breakdown over what happened in the basement the other day. I dont think he is coming back... but the good news is that we have a new guy waiting at the firehouse now.
Etta is texting me about a paying job too. I think we should head to the firehouse now. We can't do anything else here.
