Like I said, I'm happy with the extra HP.

Okay. In real life it is poisonous and was added to meat to poison wolves. And (per the interwebs,) in ancient times, the ancient Greeks used the plant oils to poison the tips of their arrows to kill wolves and other predators. Thanks for the gaming interpretation.dmw71 wrote:Regarding wolfsbane, it can be used to help a victim of lycanthropy fight off the curse, and to ward off the actual lycanthropy monster... but not a regular wolf or even a warg.Rusty Tincanne wrote:AdaRue has wolfsbane with her (part of her midwifery trappings, along with garlic). Anyone have any idea if it works against common wolves or wargs? Or is it just with lycanthropes?
More importantly, would AdaRue know this?
It is not.Rusty Tincanne wrote:Was he able to determine if Raif's sword was magical?
Sorry, I was wrapping up my update when this came in. I'm not sure what research Horatio is meant to do, but, if I didn't properly convey it in my last update, the Brotherhood had cleared out the barracks you're in and consolidated everything there was to find into the single chest.onlyme wrote:Junius looks to again see if everyone is watching, and asks Horatio to do his research.
She would have needed to use what she had to kill the two she did.Rusty Tincanne wrote:If AdaRue has any more wolfsbane, she will poison the other two wolves as well. If there is not enough, she will stay where she is.
AdaRue does not see an obvious way to open the gates containing the wolves.Rusty Tincanne wrote:AdaRue looks around for a way to open the wolf pens.
Oh, that's not ominous at all.dmw71 wrote:Zyhm, can you have Horatio make a Find Trap roll for me with a +20% bonus?
I just went to check the results and realized you want to roll low for F/RT checks.dmw71 wrote: Zyhm, can you have Horatio make a Find Trap roll for me with a +20% bonus?
Noted.Zhym wrote:Unfortunately, it was: I added 20% to his chance of success (from his usual 24%), not to the roll.
And noted.Zhym wrote:OTOH, Horatio didn't actually go anywhere yet. He just told others that they should.
Do you want me to just go by this?Zhym wrote:Keebler will try to sleep as many as he can, but is also wary of arrow fire. Horario will drop back and hide in case the two remaining wolves are released.
Technically, Keebler is still far back in the passageway and has no clue that the lever exists, or anything that is happening off to the sides. He was able to cast his spell on anything in his line of view, which was pretty much straight ahead of him.[/ooc]Zhym wrote:"Get the one by the lever!" calls out Keebler, regretting not including that one in the area of his spell (unless he has no shot or the goblin is protected by the pillars, in which case Keebler backs against the wall and watches out for the wolves.
Hey Dave. There was no mention of their (failed) shots and they don't seem to have moved between updates. So I was wondering if you missed my post. Just wondering because if they were further forward (and out of the way) they could stand and shoot, rather than move and shoot.Rusty Tincanne wrote:Vernon rushes into the room, heading for the column to the first column on the left (right side of the map). He fires his bow (uselessly) as he goes, hoping to his the Vir-Kayik, in the center.
Short Bow (THAC0 19): [1d20] = 2, dmg [1d6] = 3

AdaRue does the same, but with a sling, and heading to the right as she enters.
Sling [1d20] = 7, dmg [1d4] = 4
Both AdaRue and Vernon have an encounter speed of 20, or four squares. I did forget to post the missed shots (my bad), but they did make their moves and attacks in the only round of action so far:Rusty Tincanne wrote:Hey Dave. Yes, but...Rusty Tincanne wrote:Are the cages to the dead wolves be open now, allowing Horatio to sneak in there and hide better?
Actually, I copied the macro for Vernon's bastard sword when I actually had him using his bow. Either way, the goblin remains dead, but he will need to use his sword instead of bow for this round since he is now in direct melee. Your attack roll will still count as a hit, but I will re-roll your damage to reflect the different damage die (which, at worst, will equal your arrow damage roll, and will likely be better).Rusty Tincanne wrote:Short Bow (THAC0 19): [1d20] = 18, dmg [1d6] = 2 <-- does not include the bonuses for range, which (I am guessing) what the +1 to hit/dmg last round was all about.
