Depends on if it's a battle and the outcome. We need the mushrooms, or we won't have the resources needed for a town phase.

I didn't expect we were heading to town -- I think we're having a "session end." We can do that without returning to town.
I expect we don't return to town until we have addressed everyone's goals. Right now those goals include purging this ruin of evil, facing powerful foes, and mapping the whole floorplan. It looks like we need to go more than one room inwards to accomplish those.

Exhausted can be recovered during camp but you can't get Fresh back until you spend time in town. But I'll go with the majority.

- Rabon used Rations x2. (One himself, one cooking)
- Thag consumed the Vapor of Bravery.
- Aiofe reclaimed Pitons x4 and Rope x1.
- Acquired: Book (pack 1), Sack of gems (pack 1), Hand-axe (weapon slot), Crossbow (weapon slot)
- Acquired earlier... Helmet, Shield, Rope
- Small sack full of mushrooms (hand 1 or pack 2)
- We've burned two flasks of oil, one torch, and one candle (I think, check that?)
- Sack of gems (pack 1)
- Sack of Mushrooms (pack 2... fill the quiver and give the sack back to Allric?)
- The book of dwarven prayer in his pack slot.
- He's carrying the found Shield in his hand (and a lantern).
- Carry the hand-axe on his weapon slot.
- Leave 1 preserved ration in the campsite (hope it remains)
- Put dagger in the freed pack slot. (Or, sack of gems and give dagger to Thag)
- He's wearing the found Helmet.
That leaves us with two empty slots in Thag's backpack and two uncarried items:
- A third rope
- Crossbow (unusable without quarrels)

The weapon honing kit. Someone might as well just hone their weapon now so we don't need to carry it, though. Probably Thag or Aoife, considering they are the better fighters, anyhow.Marullus wrote:Thoughts? What did I miss?

Again, I'll volunteer Rabon for holding a lantern if Galen or Thag want to use the 10' pole. It adds +1D for scouting tests, and it might help with cartography because it will give Galen accurate measurements. Because they both are working on instinct, it seems a +1D is a worthwhile thing because they cannot gain help.

I'm not sure the 10' pole will help the mapping, all that is mentioned is Scout tests in the equipment description, but if it makes sense, Galen could switch out. Also, if we have used 2 oil, do we want to combine them into one person's pack to free up a slot? There's also something to be said about distributing the oil.

Oil was used:
1 Flask to Oil Hinges by Rabon
Berry used 1 Flask to light lantern for second adventure phase.
Galen lit the lantern just before camp (for roleplay purposes), so that's a flask used but three turns remaining on it.
So, that's three total used. (Lets take one out of Rabon's pack.) Three flasks of remaining. The two of you will be stuck carrying your unlit lanterns around unless you want to risk leaving one in the campsite as well.
I'm fine giving the weapon kit to Thag to carry if it can be used as a free action during the adventure phase. If he needs to use it in prep during the camp phase, let's say it is used now. (Ludanto?)

I hadn't given it much thought, but yeah, that does sound like a camp activity.

Hey. I just realized that Rabon achieved his goal last session. Does he need to change it, or is looting a place for what I can get still a valid goal?

I think I did add it, but I can defer. As for looting, we've barely touched the outermost rooms of this place - a guard tower, an armoury, and the room where the wolves live. I'm sure there are more exciting places to loot; oops, I mean, "examine".Rusty Tincanne wrote:1 flask of oil was removed.

Rabon says he is carrying the hand-axe in his weapon slot, which means his dagger needs to go in his pack. Recommend he:

Galen and Berry are both carrying lanterns. Galen's lantern is currently lit at the beginning of the Adventure phase (3 turns remaining). A third, spare lantern is in Thag's backpack.

I will gladly hang on to the dwarven book, as that fits my goals. Maybe the dwarf and I can look it over each camp phase for more tidbits or to assist in a theologian test later. I will go ahead and add it to my equipment, just let me know if i should hand it elsewhere.

To expand on that, they can be ruined with twists from the evil GM. Perhaps one will fall and shatter as the result of a compromise for a flee conflict. Perhaps it happens as part of a minor inconvenience while camping. The name of the game is Torchbearer for a reason though, so if it is left behind, lets hide it safely. Maybe wrapped in rags inside one of the crates in the tower.

Subtract the third oil (from (2) to (1))
Thag has 1 ration from Rabon. Thag does not have Rabon's dagger (I had room for it after all).
If someone took Rabon's single oil flask, speak up, otherwise, Rabon will carry it.

- 8 mushrooms - worth 1D Thag
- embroidered pouch is full of sparkling gems - worth 3D Thag
- old book with scribbling about an evil dwarf god - worth 2D (maybe haggle for 3D?) Berry
- dwarf shield Berry

That puts us at the 6D we'll need to live in town. More cash means we can try to recover from conditions back in town.
Ludanto, can we have that list added to the log, please? And correct me if I was wrong about the value of the book. I couldn't find where Ludanto mentioned the value, so that is from memory.

I've updated my character sheet. I have the 'shrooms and pouch of gems in my pack, below tge rope up above the 2 flasks of oil. I still have 1 space in my pack and on in my quiver. I do have a tinderbox in my belt pouch that could be left behind and hidden with our other stuff.

That's actually not a bad idea. It would require all players to PM their email addresses to you once you set it up so we can get controlled access, though. Anyone object?
