IC XI
Re: IC XI
Severi, Elf
"Well. We might as well start packing up all this loot. It seems there is nothing more here than a single burial chamber."
EDIT:
Without further delay, Severi begins hauling loads of gold out to where the horses are tethered.

Rhys the Traveler
"Aquar's draft horse will certainly earn its keep on the return trip to town! Maybe Myraal will have interest in the tapestry. We should offer it to him first, given all he has done for...". He pauses, realizing Myraal did much more work for those that came before most who are currently in the party.
Rhys helps load saddle bags and sacks with coins.

Re: IC XI
Mursley peers at the tapestry. Although by no means an expert in textiles, much less ancient Traladarn tapestries, he realizes that he is correct in his assumption that the wall-hanging may be worth more than the coins. It appears to be woven from silk, and depicts in astonishing detail the land that would one day become Karameikos. He notes, however, that only natural features are shown; there are no cities, no castles, no structures of any kind shown on the map.

Re: IC XI
Aquar, cleric
Aquar helps load the loot on the horses. He looks at the tapestry to see if there is a weaver's signature, or any wrtiting on the back that could trace its ownership and hence identify the former occupant of the tomb.

Re: IC XI
Aquar is unable to find any identifying marks on the tapestry. The adventurers begin to haul their loot outside; by the time they are done twilight is rapidly approaching. While it may certainly be possible to travel through the woods at night, it might not be the wisest course of action.
Re: IC XI
Mursley, MU
Mursley makes room and loads the tapestry onto his horse.
"I agree that I prefer not to stay here tonight. You have more experience of this land than I, so if you think these area is safe enough to camp nearby, then let us do that"

Re: IC XI
The adventurers load up their loot and, upon Severi's urging, ride some distance away from the barrow. Aquar and Rhys begin to recognize their surroundings, and indeed it is but a short ride to the site where they camped with their previous companions.

I'll need someone to propose a night watch order, and votes made in favor or opposing. As usual, if you oppose the suggested order please suggest an alternate. Also, those with spellcasting characters can spend two hours in study tonight, in an attempt to learn a new spell. I will allow casters to study from the same spellbook, provided the same spell is studied.

Re: IC XI
The adventurers set up their camp and establish a watch order. Severi and Mursley study together whilst the others toil about. The night passes peacefully.
Yarthmont 3, AC 1000
The morning is cool and pleasant, with the promise of a warm Karameikan late spring day to come. The adventurers strike camp, load up their mounts and return back to the Duke's Road. Two hours easy riding brings them into sight of Myraal's tower.

Rhys the Traveler
"Yes, as I said, I think we should see what Myraal will offer us for this first. If the price seems fair, we should unload the tapestry before entering town, where we may be asked questions regarding its acquisition."
