At least he did kill something. ;)
Strom would never kill a baby.

The fact that he could never make a high enough attack roll is most of the reason why. :)

The hobbit swings wildly. (at T2)
dag [1d20+1] = 3+1 = 4 [1d4+1] = 3+1 = 4 dag2 [1d20-1] = 4-1 = 3 [1d4+1] = 4+1 = 5

Kaltr grimaces with pain, shakes head and then takes a swing at his new enemy:

Mace Action To Hit [1d20] = 16 Dam [1d6+1] = 2+1 = 3

The passage is only wide enough for one to come on at once right? How many creatures can I see behind the one I am in combat with?

Rounds 6/2

In the chamber itself, only Shannigans acts before the beasts and misses with his multiple dagger strikes against the only foe he can reach. The hobbit and Strom are both able to avoid the javelin attacks sent against them, but Aric feels a pinch as the tip of a javelin rips through his flesh (-8).

The fighters respond with a flurry of steel. Strom, his inner rage boiling, launches his next attack and sends his steel slashing through the scaly protection of his persistent foe, sending its lifeless body crumbling to the ground. Aric drops his hand axe and switches to use his bastard sword two-handed in order to cause maximum damage when he strikes... which he does, nearly slicing his opponent clear in half.

---

In the side passage, Kalar continues to defend against the parent troglodytes bent on revenge. He feels a javelin catch him again (-3). The cleric grimaces with pain before finding an opportunity and connecting with his mace, staggering the beast which fights to hold off its meeting with the afterlife but ultimately fails, collapsing to the ground.

While Kaltar attacks the swamp beast in front of him, Fimmion keeps a weary eye on the situation, readying himself to cast another spell if the situation demands its. If another swamp beast is spotted in front of Kaltar, bringing it to two against one, Fimmion will use a color spray on the beasts, hopefully blinding them for a few rounds. He will shout to Kaltar to close his eyes and back away before doing so, so as to avoid friendly fire. If Kaltar does not budge or insists on continuing the fight, Fimmion will wait.

Here is a roll if things go according to the one scenario: [1d6] = 1 According to the roll it will only affect one creature. "All creatures above the level of the spellcaster and all those of 6th level or 6 Hit Dice or more are entitled to a saving throw vs. spell. Blind or unseeing creatures are not affected by the spell.

Creatures not allowed or failing saving throws, and whose Hit Dice or levels are less than or equal to the spellcaster's level, are struck unconscious for 2d4 rounds; those with Hit Dice or levels 1 or 2 greater than the wizard's level are blinded for 1d4 rounds; those with Hit Dice or levels 3 or more greater than that of the spellcaster are stunned (reeling and unable to think or act coherently) for one round. "

Once again, the halfling is able to act just before the creatures, and pulls back from the melee while being covered by Strom. The troglodyte (t2) which had been intent on eliminating the hobbit jabs its pointed stick at Strom instead but, just as it is about to strike, gets bumped from behind by the troglodyte (f2) which had been waiting for an opportunity to engage, and both swamp creatures miss.

Aric and the trog (t3) he had been engaged in melee with both have the same idea once the space was created moments earlier and each take a step towards the other before exchanging ineffective blows.

Strom, focused on providing coverage for Shannigans as the halfling flees the situation, is unable to duplicate the success of his most recent efforts.

---

In the side passage, Kalar easily avoids the javelin thrust of his latest opponent (p2), and thankfully so as he is able to successfully get his 'Cure Light Wounds' cast upon himself (+3). Fimmion keeps a weary eye on the situation, readying himself to cast another spell if the situation demands its, but he does not detect additional enemies at this time.

Did posts cross as mine as right above yours...assuming so can you let me know the result of my attempt to heal? If successful, round 8 action is to attack again

Kaltar steps up to the latest foe:

Mace Action To Hit [1d20] = 6 Dam [1d6+1] = 2+1 = 3

And wishes he hadn't bothered!

Shannigans remains prepared to strike out at any troglodyte that gets past the front defenses, but none do. Both Strom and Aric continue to battle the remaining foes and, while unable to reduce their numbers, they are able to avoid being struck themselves.

---

In the side skirmish, Fimmion continues to monitor the passageway just beyond Kaltar, prepared to blast any new arrivals with his 'Color Spray' spell, but no targets present themselves. Kaltar and his foe exchange ineffective blows.

Strom feels the spider bite from earlier begin to throb and his body feels hotter and hotter. He knows that he only has a few minute before his condition will get worse and he attacks with a renewed vigor.

[1d20+2] = 15+2 = 17
[2d4+3] = 4+3 = 7

Is anyone else still having Roller issues? It is really slow loading and I am getting a header with no roll under. Took a few tries to get the actual roll. Anyone else?
