Heh, welcome back nonetheless, hope the issues get ironed out!
This is a game about killing things and taking their stuff so you can become more powerful in order to kill bigger things and take even better stuff.
Alethan: I'm good with NOT pressing our luck this time.
mjulius: That's how I know I'm home.
Pulpatoon: The whole point of PbP is to take the scheduling pressure off the game. We're just chatty because we're so eager!
Scott308: ...everyone should be reminded of just how wonderful the people they play games with here can be in real life.
Leitz: Quality and quantity wise, I think US is the best I've seen.
Paladin: I can promise terror, glory, and riches...or a quick and brutal death.
Inferno: Come on! That's was Vicar's Head, a completely different doomed village!
Rex: I can move to the wait list to let someone else into the game.

Cilian stares at the mural...

"It's a schooner!" :P

"Ha, ha, you dumb bastard! It's not a schooner, it's a sailboat!"

"A schooner IS a sailboat, stupid head!" ;)

 "You know what?! There IS no Easter Bunny! Over there, that's just a guy in a suit!"

Ouch. That's not easy to do on a monitor.

That a shark?

suppose to be a shark, I believe. But I agree, on a monitor at the end of the day, it hurts. ;)

Now you are back in town it is time to move to some RP.

everyone recieves 350 xp, so you all are at 0 xp now and must find someone to complete your training and take you to first level. I am also sure some of you would like to digest what you have found as well as investigate and make more sense of it. So, what I am going to do is start new threads from the main whenever soemone decides to break off solo or just couple of people . For now I will start a Osric thread since he has left the group and is going to the church.

Don't read threads that you are not apart of, this will help stop player know;edge decisions

So for those of the "sneakier" nature? :)

Is there a thieve's guild in town... or maybe Korec can help me out?

No guild that you know of, and from what you know of Korec he has no patience for thievery. However there are a few distastful sorts that you have known growing up.

Hmm... Tubeedee will have to go find the least distasteful, but hopefully most skilled of the bunch.

#94 Post by Alethan »

This Thanksgiving, I'm thankful for packrat parents!

While helping my older brother get their Christmas tree out of the attic space over the garage yesterday evening, I came across a box marked "Books" with my name on it.

Inside was all of my old AD&D stuff! Sweet!

So I now have my old 1e PHB and DMG, a copy of UA (rather crappy one, really, because most of the pages unglued from the spine - that happen to anyone else's copy?), MM, L&L, and a handful of modules. I even still have my original red book D&D Player's Manual and blue book D&D Expert Player's Manual.

The box also contained some drawings and module-like material I'd drawn and written more than 20 years ago. I never realized I'd put so much to pen and paper.

So if you want, WP, I can use my UA for all cantrip information from now on.

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone.

Awesome find, my brother salvaged all mine from my parents basement before he moved out, then when he was thinking of ebay ing it he figured he'd ask me first less than a year ago. What a fun find!

and yes the UA was notoriously poorly bound... AD&D 1.5 - the harbinger of the end! :)

+1  Great find, congrats on that man! That sounds like my same scenario as well. And yes, as stated, never met a UA that wasn't coming apart at the glued seam!

Role-play it out! But hurry so you can get it done in the same 4-week period as the rest of us!

WP, do you let Strength bonuses modify damage on a ranged attack for a thrown weapon? In particular I'm wondering if I throw a hand axe, if any STR modifiers apply. I'm adding +1 for the extra proficiency training to hit, but is there anything in addition to that?
