Jess loans 15K to the company immediately. She's keeping a 5k budget to spend on a fast bike and upgrading her buggy, but she'll loan the remainder.shaidar wrote: ↑Mon May 03, 2021 4:06 pm OK, so here is what should be the final salary/shares update

How did Frank get a ship share? Term in the Navy?
Re: Avastan Planning & OOC
He got it when I rolled for leaving the 1188th, so I've put it down to winning it from someone from the 1188th in a card game somehow.

Re: Avastan Planning & OOC
Being a 1188th thing I bet it will be something fascinating and dangerous.
( Looking at MgT2 a ship share is worth 1MCr. In MgT1 it varied between 270k and 4MCr, depending on wheteher it was a share in a Scout or a Broadsword

Re: Avastan Planning & OOC
CE puts it at a flat 2,000,000. (Frank was rolled from CE)

Re: Avastan Planning & OOC
In CT and MT it was either use of a Scout or possession of a Free Trader/Corair/Yacht/Safari/Lab ship. Each subsequent ship bene was 25% of the mortgage and a 10 year older ship.
Ah, CE.
So, no year-by-year service history, no medals.
We could retcon that, if you'd like, do the CT Book 4 assignment and decorations rolls for each term.

You could always make enquiries on Collace...
Either with the well respected Lloyds of Collace (you'll need to wear a tie) or via the popular Scout "dirtside app" from wherethefekdidIleavemyruddyship.com

I might do that, see what shakes out. Although I may discover four years of outstanding loan repayments on it

Re: Avastan Planning & OOC
Apologies for the "natural lull" - it really is just that.
I know shaidar and Leitz are busy bees currently whilst I vainly try to catch the ephemeral moths of inspiration to get a little more written before we resume.

Hope all are still bearing up in what are still difficult times.
Please bear with me for we shall continue!

Re: Avastan Planning & OOC
Quick query.
Are you keeping your equipment issue as standard?
One option (which would be available by looting) would be to add an ACR squad support variant to each rifle section. No new skills required - it is after all the same weapon just with modifications. This gives increased tactical options for fire and manoeuvre at squad level.
Game Effect: one trooper gets a bigger to hit bonus.

Re: Avastan Planning & OOC
We have Gauss rifles in that role at the moment - full auto, big mag.
Since we're expanding the unit we could alternate sections - one ACR, one Gauss.
Or switch to all ACR for standard rifle units, concentrate the Gauss weapons in one unit. The grav-belt section, if we form one, I'd think.

One of them per fire team would be a good thing, I think.Tiglath wrote: ↑Tue May 11, 2021 10:04 pm Quick query.

To what TL are we able to equip our units?

Re: Avastan Planning & OOC
Having everyone in a squad using the same ammo and weapon system is logistically desirable.
As to TL as a guide ACRs are TL 10 your combat armour is TL 12.
In 268 the ceiling is probably TL 12 as Collace is TL 13 and no one is really comfortable equipping mercs to parity with their PDF! The other "glass ceiling" is that the Imperium doesn't like mercs getting parity with their standard of 14. To go there you need both a bond and the political favour to be allowed to make the purchases.
Gauss weapons are mid tech sniper weapons so that could be your switch?
Although the gauss rifle gives a little extra edge (+1 Pen +1 auto) and compliments the ACR it's not really an "LMG".

Re: Avastan Planning & OOC
Absolutely. If the SAW ACR gives us the full auto/high capacity we need then let's go with it. Gauss weapons to Prerna's team.Having everyone in a squad using the same ammo and weapon system is logistically desirable.
Re: Avastan Planning & OOC
Yes indeed.
The ALMG has the same performance as the ACR (same rounds but +4 To Hit vs ACR's +2) with a little more range (out to 1000m but still at +3 with DS) weighs 6kg with belts at 2.5kg. Ammo is interchangeable with rifle section ACRs and if necessary it can use standard mags (as an ACR).
Anything further up the auto weapon evolutionary scale simply isn't man portable.

Last bit of Admin:
Last Ticket:
Inchin (Spinward Marches 0938): The Collace Foreign Ministry offers a mid tech platoon sized security and training detachment capable of tech support and liaison with indigenous forces and allied contingents. 100,000Cr (Combat Bonus of 200,000 Cr).
Reviewable after two weeks, extendable to three months. 50,000Cr per two week extension.
Payment:
350,000Cr (ticket, extension, combat bonus)
100, 000Cr Imperial Bounty on Urvash Gudrun
7MCr sale of salvaged corsair hull to Inchin Up Port Inc.
Assumption: Your mercs are remaining as is: Cbt Armour (AV 10) for line troops, same plus vision aids for officers / squad leaders, ALMGs now in squads and gauss rifles switched to the recon/sniper unit.
Vehicles: two new APCS, two G Carriers, one civvy air raft, HQ Bus, ambulance (with emer low berths and autodoc), Grav belts for one fire team.
Any further proposed expansion of the unit (apart from including Gaughan's squad as a subordinate unit)?
Re: the above I'm more than happy to retcon "private purchases" but want to set the fundamental TO&E of the unit in stone before we start on Avastan.
The muses have returned!

Did our pirate gig evaporate?
I know The Bindoner has a list of purchases we've discussed and I'm sure he can illucidate on that plus recruitment plans
And a big welcome to the muses

Re: Avastan Planning & OOC
No, the launch/gunship is still there but wasn't technically a payment per se.
All other loot is also present.
One post "cognitive dog walk" query: Did you go for buying the PD variant APC as well?
NB Assume that all ammo needs are replenished (to include grenades, RAM grenades and LAW).
I don't think you fired enough AT missiles off to need resupply there.

Re: Avastan Planning & OOC
The gunship wasn't listed with the other vehicles, that's why I mentioned it.
I believe we did go for the PD variant (that's the gauss gun one?), but I'm sure TB will confirm that, he's been doing a sterling job tracking our various chaotic threads of discussion.
