OOC (formerly Questions for the DMs)
Re: OOC (formerly Questions for the DMs)
Since the Efreeti is granting wishes, would it be out of line to ask him the ways in which acerak can be killed (or at least injured)?

You know it is strange to think that something good actually came from this lol

I think we will all be dead soon enough

Re: OOC (formerly Questions for the DMs)
You can certainly ask. He'll consider answering that question to be one service. He'll answer to the best of his knowledge. The big question is how much he knows.
And yes, the Tomb is stocked with a handful of really good things for the party intrepid enough to find them. Often times, parties are so afraid of triggering a death trap that they miss things like the Efreet who will grant three wishes or other services if released from his prison.
Mind you, the death traps far outnumber the boons, so "don't touch anything" isn't a totally irrational strategy.

Re: Ch. 5: The Pillared Throne Room
Stirling asked for the doors to be placed at the entrance to the temple. The Efreet, feeling helpful, asked a clarifying question and granted the wish. That leaves one more wish.
Re: Ch. 5: The Pillared Throne Room
Wish 1: Destroy the statutes.
Wish 2: Remove the mithril doors and put them at the entrance of the tomb.
Wish 3: ????
The Efreet, feeling kindly toward his liberator after centuries of confinement, asked if "have some patience" was the first service. McCloud said it was not. So McCloud still has a wish (or other service) available, but it needs to be stated promptly.

Re: OOC (formerly Questions for the DMs)
..? McCloud falling to the floor instead of the ceiling? instead of being super lite and blown by the breeze is he now super heavy and can't move or pushed down by the wall of force?
Re: OOC (formerly Questions for the DMs)
No, no. It just means he as holding on to the rope to keep from falling upwards. Then he stopped levitating, and holding on to the rope kept him from falling to the floor. He can climb down normally.
Re: OOC (formerly Questions for the DMs)
so is he back to normal? (what is normal for McCloud?) or still suffering some effects of touching the pillar...(sunday school taught me you would go blind after touching the pillar not get high!)
Re: OOC (formerly Questions for the DMs)
McCloud is back to as normal as he ever was.
Re: OOC (formerly Questions for the DMs)
"phew that was close" McCloud said, wiping a fevered brow with one hand and leaning against the nearest pillar with the other...
ha ha ha, you think I'm that stupid!
