Sorry, Scott. That's three days. Moving it along.

I realize that nobody specifically said they would climb them, but at least two of us stated we were “moving” to the stairway.

Can we be moved on the map, and given a little description of them before we all become assimilated.

Sure, I can retcon that Bo reaches the stone steps, peers up and finds them bearing only the slime trail. The stair ascends into darkness.

I just realized that those doors were all locked, and since we have no equipment, (like lockpicks) we may need to try smashing the locks with the torch sconce.

I have also noticed that a Silence spell has no Material component.

That almost seems too convenient to pass up.

I am getting a strong impression that we need to make a group decision and stick with it if we want to get out of this mess.

Moving a few feet ahead of this thing each round seems to be getting us nowhere fast.

Even if we don't mess with the doors, is everyone willing to take another lap around the area we already know, (averting our gaze at the sparkling ceiling) or should we try another avenue? (with no weapons on us, finding a dead end will likely spell TPK at this point)

I suggest we all RUN (at double movement if we don't stop) through the area we already know to see how much distance we can put between us and this thing.

As always, I am open for any other suggestions you might have.

I third it. If we can determine just how fast it travels, it gives us an idea of how much time we have to do anything other than move away from it.

Just don't lap it.

That was a total of 7 minutes to bust in the first door, correct?

One of the few spells Bo can still cast is Faerie Fire. It states that it can be cast on an "item", so would that help raise the chances of breaking in the next door if we were to try that again? Or would it only come into play in a combat situation?

So faerie fire gives +2 to hit a target. Breaking down doors is more a contest of strength than one of accuracy; you can hit the door all right but can you damage it enough to break it down?
