Saracen nods and makes sure his mirror is easily accessible in his pouch.

If it’s a trap, we could do with not all going at the same time. Remember the trap in the spider den? If there were only a few advance scouts then only they would have fallen to it and the rest could have reduced them. I want to face whatever lurks down here, but not just to rush in blindly. I will follow the rest however if you all think this is wiser, and I won’t bring it up again.

The holy champion waits to hear what the others do, and goes along with the majority, right or left, hunched up or separate.

Alordan finds these statues are just as solid as the others that have already been checked.

With his borrowed mirror in hand, Andronichishche is the next party member to make his last wishes know. He then points out the curiosity of the minotaurs positioning, questioning why their expressions aren’t of complete horror if they were stoned by a medusa. It seems that there is definitely more to this mystery than meets the eye so far.

Maag and Tlachtga keep alert at the rear of the group when Gramble points out that they are doing exactly as Cresty’s voice is suggesting. This causes a bit of concern amongst the ranks, preventing them from advancing any further inside. Saracen reminds them of the trap they sprung in the ettercap maze, still suggesting that they implement scouts for safety purposes.

Actions?

map:
By my count, we have Gramble, Lerrick, and Maag who want to go right. Crestbrook and Andron want to continue ahead. Alordan hasn’t expressed his intent, and the remainder have said they would follow the majority.

Saracen suggests sending in scouts first.

I will wait to hear Alordan’s preference before advancing, but feel free to talk things out together in the meantime.

Alordan nods "Interesting idea Maag. We could see if that dais works both ways - maybe put a body on it and see... gotta be careful though, as someone on the other side may take that as a bad sign and send more reinforcements. There's gotta be a way to setup a trap around that dais. It's all stone i think so we can't dig a pit - so i'm back to the net idea unless someone else has a better idea."

Andronichishche nods at Saracen's suggestion, "Whatever the source of the voice, it certainly appears to know exactly where Sir Crestbrook is located in the caves ... that may not necessarily extend to the rest of us, though. If a trap is indeed intended, a scout may be able to achieve surprise with its attention on Sir Crestbrook. Question is, who would go?

If someone gives me a lit torch I will follow Cresty down the passage that emits the foul stench. We can explore 20 to 40 feet and then report back. Maybe another two can do the same down the path to the right. We have to do something rather than stand here having a conversation about our next move.

Saracen moves a hand to stay the sun priestess. It is beyond foolish to send the healers into danger first. Should you be injured or incapacitated, who will then heal you or those you accompany? No lady of the fiery light, this task is for others to undertake.

He looks at the others and holds their gazes, sizing up their own special sets of skills. Is anyone called Liam? Or Neeson?

Lerrick takes the torch from Andron Thank you. She then looks toward the half orc. I disagree Saracen. Besides...I don't see anyone jumping to join him. Furthermore, we have plenty of healers in this party. She moves to join the paladin. Let's go. The paladin moves slowly and methodically down the passage tapping the pole in front of him.

Andronichishche ponders Saracen's question, "I do know of a man named Liam, one who has indeed acquired a particularly assorted set of skills over a previous long career ... but he was otherwise occupied this morning."

Speaking now to Gramble, "I would join you myself, however I am poorly equipped and experienced to assist with a chance encounter in these narrow tunnels. We will also need another lit torch for those who will remain behind."
