Drest and Ceana battle it out with two of the dwarfs near the statue, neither doing anything to hurt them while the Scout is clubbed again for his trouble. 3 dam

Belloc backs away defensively when Sik steps in to attack the dwarf on him, wounding it for the first time. Belloc is quickly accosted by one of the oncoming centipedes, but he is able to dodge that attack.

Kain splats the bug biting him into a pulpy red mess before it can strike again, but is quickly replaced by another from the swarm. Akhilleus kills another as well, wading around the battle looking for another to strike.

Xenos hits the dwarf on him again, unable to bring it down yet and taking a painful wound in return. 4 dam Cyril feels the poison from the centepide burning through his body. When he looks at his wound, he can see the skin around it starting to dissolve. 8 dam :? In his weakened state, his counter attack on the bug is not powerful enough to kill it outright, but is enough to keep it from biting him a second time. Taibhse is unfortunately little help with his badly timed swing, also somehow avoiding the dangerous pinching mandibles of the black bug on him.

Drest continues to falter with the weird bones trying to grab at his legs and feet, allowing the uninjured dwarf on him to strike again and again. 2 dam Ceana has better luck hitting her foe, finally dropping it to the ground at her feet without getting struck again herself.

Sik is unable to eliminate the threat fighting him, taking a heavy blow from the strange hammer these uncouth dwarfs wield. 5 dam

Kain and Belloc are able to crush the insects assailing them, the ominous black staff leaving behind a sizzling stench after it connects with the poisonous vermin.

Xenos and Cyril are having difficulty connecting in the confusion of battle, leaving the Warlock open to another attack. 4 dam But Akhilleus steps over to eliminate the last of the dangerous creepy crawlies, leaving only three dwarfs to target. Despite their losses, these creatures don't seem to even be acknowledging the concept of surrender.

Drest decides to fight for another round anyways.

Short Sword [1d20]=11 to hit [1d6+1]=1+1=2 damage

Best roll so far, sadly it isn't very good. Theoretically Drest is better off then Ceana so he will hold in there and try to help finish the dwarf off for now.

Cyril mutters an incantation directed at the dwarf harrying Drest. Ropes of black smoke swirl about, attempting to bind the crazed dwarf.

Hold Person
Hold person victims are frozen still, motionless, paralyzed. This enchantment affects humans, humanoids, and giants. It can be cast at a single opponent or a group of individuals, so long as they are within a 10-foot radius of the spell’s primary target. When cast at a group, as many as four individuals may be affected, beginning with those closest to the primary target. Each target is allowed a sorcery saving throw to resist the spell; if but a single target is selected, its saving throw is made at a −2 penalty. Any targets of 9 HD or greater gain a +4 saving throw bonus. Saving throws are modified by willpower adjustment, if applicable.
