It's not too late to help the ogres.

Have fun! Agreed, we should be able to mend things with Quinthos and resume the quest to assist his village. If the majority prefers to leave him be and do things in our own time that's also fine to me.frobozz wrote:
Those two were not actual delays as they were agreed upon beforehand. The elf's distress is understandable, of course, but he is being unfair with the party.thirdkingdom wrote: To be fair, you guys have already delayed twice: once to attend the festival and once to kill the troll.
I'd like to follow the discussion too, but I also need to leave.frobozz wrote: Crap, this is getting interesting, but I'm about to leave the house to attend a Pub Crawl For Cancer, so I'll likely miss out on the rest of the discussions!Lanny will be ok with either returning to Threshold or immediately continuing on to the elvish village. Lanny will also use his +1 Charisma to make everything better.
They are on the map I supplied, so yes.Bouv wrote:@tkndoes the party know about the other villages on the route? I so I'll have Tratiln suggest we rest there too. I'm guessing lanny might know since he studied the maps.
Ok, I take this back. Elf #5 is getting me mad. I should find a nice hilltop with a great view of the elven village so I can have a picnic whilst the ogres are rampaging through.riftstone wrote:Ha! The elves haven't bothered me that much!
Lanny will urge the party to make it to the nearest village by dusk, thinking it is more important to camp in a secure location than to spend time training.thirdkingdom wrote:Okay, so it looks like everyone except for Drudsa and Thordin have riding horses. The mage and dwarf have ponies. The terrain you guys will be traveling through is fairly rough, although there are trails, so we will be using the third column on page 147. You guys can move 28 miles per day. As per the map, there are seven hexes (3 miles each) between the caves and the next village. You guys can make the town by dusk, but that will leave no practice time for spells or weapons this day. Or, you guys can stop to camp in hex 15.15 (roughly a third of the way) and practice for the two hours allotted per day.
The only bonus is the satisfaction of automatically doing maximum damage.sulldawga wrote:Is there no reward/bonus for rolling a natural 20 in combat?
I'm not trying to make a stink about it, just curious.
What are the odds of that happening?thirdkingdom wrote:The only bonus is the satisfaction of automatically doing maximum damage.sulldawga wrote:Is there no reward/bonus for rolling a natural 20 in combat?

Sorry, I don't really understand your question.Luis wrote:What are the odds of that happening?![]()

I was wondering what your take on that was, now we know. Fair enough, it is an old school game we really couldn't expect anything else and it's part of the charm.
I fumbled a dumb joke roll. What are the odds of a d20 rolling a 20... *crickets chirp* Nevermind...thirdkingdom wrote:Sorry, I don't really understand your question.Luis wrote:What are the odds of that happening?![]()

Okay guys, the total value of the jewelry is 15,000 gp. There are nine PCs plus one henchman. Semele receives one quarter share of gold and XP. Therefore, let us assume there are 37 quarter shares. 15,000 divided by 37 is 405.41 Semele receives 405.41 XP. Each PC receives 1621.6 XP. I am keeping the decimal until any applicable XP bonus is added, and then rounding appropriately.
Semele has a +5% bonus to XP, so she receives a total of 425.68 -- rounding up to 425 -- XP. Let me know who needs hit points rolled for a new level.
Also, if you had not yet added in your 92 XP (per person) for the monsters, the total XP amount per party member (not including Semele) for Thaumont 12 is 1713.6 XP (+ any XP bonuses). I added this amount to the Treasure/XP List.thirdkingdom wrote:Okay guys, the total value of the jewelry is 15,000 gp. There are nine PCs plus one henchman. You're right, I think I misspoke when I said the the Thieves would advance to Level 4... But Drudsa and Thordin should make it to Level 3, and Bregalad/Lanny/Tratiln should make it to Level 2.Luis wrote:I was at 2.400 so with this I'm at 4.021. Still need 779, unless I missed anything.
I forgot about the monsters. 92 closer to lvl 4frobozz wrote: Also, if you had not yet added in your 92 XP (per person) for the monsters, the total XP amount per party member (not including Semele) for Thaumont 12 is 1713.6 XP (+ any XP bonuses). I added this amount to the Treasure/XP List.
