Thinking about the warriors flailing around in Low-G:

Sigmundr and Hróarr have Athletics/Dex 0, which sort of counts for Zero-G. Enough to avoid the -3.


Hrafn, Steinn and Ragnheiðr have various other Athletics 0. Come to that, all the warband have Athletics/Strength 0. With practice that could develop into Dex 0.

It's no doubt "fashion" (and therefore lost on me) but I just get the impression that her shopping trolley full of "stuff" is just out of shot...

I did say

Regard it as defensive camouflage - a young woman in a pirate haven staffed by robots doesn't dress to attract (unless it's her profession). Tiv may recall that Yumi was not sporting such a "cutting-edge style" before, when there were fewer ships, and no Oghmen.

BTW, still waiting on a reply from Tiv's last conversation with Yumi and his trade proposal Dyanne (Now she's one to get excited about...I bet she carries a riding crop...)

After Ummiimir's feast, the day ends. Tomorrow, more Oghman ships arrive. Three are Ásgeirr ships, the Myrgjǫl Skyldr-Byrding, Gyða Harðhugaðr Varð-Veizla and their escort Þórví Járnsíða.


Tiv has arranged for the Aslan to visit and assess the slaves at some point tomorrow. They seem like the sort of sophonts that expect prompt service. An early appointment might earn favour, delay without good cause (i.e. coordinating with arriving ships to display more wares) may annoy.

We need the Dust Spice for sure and the last (as per my emphasis) seems like a gift we shouldn't ignore!

With more clan ships arriving on-station in the coming days, I would think we could assemble a large clan boarding party for Phase 2 (boarding party) and be semi-selective in recruiting…

I'm looking for two connections with the new player's character. He's a Corsair/Tech Pilot/Astrogator who spent a couple of terms as a priest.


If anyone sees one, feel free to say so.


Here's the matrix:

I can see a priestly connection with a young Raven as she would have sought out instruction on the gods and their mysteries. To her religious instructor's chagrin (or dismay!) it seems that she then put her newfound knowledge to use not for the benefit of church or religion but to steep herself in dark renown and thereby increase her reputation. This also coincides with the period when Tiv reforges Battle Hag and Raven dedicates the blade to Hel together with other associated "theatricality".

Makes sense. If he wants to learn a skill that Tiv learned later in his career, perhaps Tiv and could have served a spell together again later, having originally met during Raven’s Dark and Brooding transition. I imagine clan corsairs get to know each other as few as they are.

BTW, Tiv’s first term +1 Bene was for acquiring a slave but selling him/her.

Agree as above - the connection during Raven's "Gothic Norse" descent could be a "two for one".

Equally, regarding contact with any of the PCs, as a knowledgeable/established corsair Tech (or indeed their junior/assistant for an early career encounter) there's probably a fair degree of "exchange/crossover" between raiding boats as the Techs troubleshoot the "unfathomable" (to Oghman raiders).

Once aboard the Techs can light some tallow candles, daub some blood and then begin to intone the Charm of Mending with the opening verse "Hast thou tried turning it off and on again?"

Actually they probably just use plug in incense dispensers - if that... heretics!!!

Be kind with me if I make some mistakes, or if I don't understand all at the first try, english it is not my first language and I never played traveller before.

Everyone is very friendly here so you'll have no worries as you find your feet. Play by post is more art than science so it's a case of just settling in and going with the flow.
