The parabattery is not part of the regular rental. Max speed of this vehicle is 150 k.p.h. Are you going to head back to the town?
Re: Adventure Section 1.0
T'prin votes to head back to town so we can update Garrett and turn the pirates over to the authorities
Re: Adventure Section 1.0
Rick seconds this plan.Teflon wrote:T'prin votes to head back to town so we can update Garrett and turn the pirates over to the authorities
He also adds the parabattery to his "loot" list.
Re: Adventure Section 1.0
On the ride back, Lloyd has a ‘conversation’ with the pirates. He will threaten or cajole the into identifying themselves and their role in the operation.
If I need to roll, please let me know.
When in range, Lloyd will upload his photos of the men for transmission to the local law.

Okay, T'prin, you can parallel the tracks without worry about incoming traffic. Lloyd, you may try a leadership roll to see if you can persuade the pirates to talk.
Re: Adventure Section 1.0
T'prin willl look back over his shoulders at the prisoners and give them a big fang filled grin every few minutes as they are being questioned

Re: Adventure Section 1.0
Nice roll. The pirates finally start talking and telling you that they were ordered to mine the titanium and get it shipped to be processed into refined material. They don't know anymore than that.
Re: Adventure Section 1.0
who ordered them?

"The orders came from our boss who is on Gran Quivera. His code name is ' Paladin ', but we have no idea his identity."
Re: Adventure Section 1.0
How long were they part of this crew?
Re: Adventure Section 1.0
Rick listens with only half an ear to the interrogation hoping that good information will come of it. He is much more interested in any threats that might manifest outside the hovertruck. He doesn't know what sort of retaliatory capabilities the pirate miners might be capable of. Maybe nothing, maybe something. He keeps his eyes scanning and his hands near the heavy laser, hoping he has correctly figured out how to operate it if needed.

"We've been here for a few months now. We all took turns being one of the guys in charge. We would switch off and let thee others rest while the next shift played their 'parts'. So, we ain't done you no harm. Why not just release us and call it even?"
Re: Adventure Section 1.0
Rick replies, 'You guys be trying your best to kill us. So you be ready to kill anyone else who gets in your way. We be taking you to the police."

Re: Adventure Section 1.0
The pirate who is talking gives Rick a shrewd look, then continues, " Look, whatever your name is, you've seen how we have infiltrated the mining operation. What makes you think that we haven't done the same with the local L.E.O.? Turn us in and we will disappear in less time than it takes you to put on your pants."
The pirate then leans back and grins while staring outside.
T'prin, you think you are about 10 minutes from the edge of town.

Re: Adventure Section 1.0
He has a point, maybe we turn them over to the miners and let mob justice take place
Re: Adventure Section 1.0
or we just space them.
Re: Adventure Section 1.0
Spacing them has its charms. We need to get to space to make that threat good.
“Say we were interested in taking you all up on this? What about our... time and trouble, hmm?”
“Make it worth our while, or for less than 0.2 credits we can put a stop on you.”

Rick thinks about this for a moment. If he was in their shoes and knew that the LEO would just let him go, then he certainly wouldn't say anything to someone who might then make other plans. He does not respond but does not believe him either.Harpoonrgm84a wrote:The pirate who is talking gives Rick a shrewd look, then continues, " Look, whatever your name is, you've seen how we have infiltrated the mining operation.
