With the dwarf on Belloc down to one usable arm, and Kain yanking on the lasso wrapped around the other, Belloc tries casting his spell again. This particular dwarf doesn't seem so mentally challenged when he moves his weapon to his other hand and smashes it into the Mage again. 2 dam (same routine for the spell retention) Kian tries to play tug of war with the much stronger brute, and it isn't going in his favor.
Stitches:- 1st lvl Halfling-Rogue: basics HP:9, AC:14, init.:+3, Sw/Bow: +5 to hit/1d6+3 dam +Sneak attack!

Having seen Belloc cast sleep a few times now, he knows what's up. "Belloc! Switch! Cast on the crawlies!"

Kain will pull once hard on the lasso, then quickly drop it hoping to unbalance the dwarf. He then turns and slashes at the nearest centipede.

Morningstar (19): [1d20]=3 I see the problem. He's trying to slash with a Morningstar. ;)

Chaos Returns
No Idea On Time Of Day


Near the green statue, Drest swings awkwardly and falls over, getting caught up in the Death Soldier's groping bones. I'll need an Avoidance save for him to act this round. Ceana continues yelling in the common tongue at these unsophisticated monsters, even though they don't understand a word she says. She hits the one she wounded earlier with her sword, but not hard enough to bring it down. She and Drest are both attacked in return, the Scout taking a bad hit as he tries to recompose himself. 5 dam

Sik kills the dwarf on him before turning to aid Belloc, still standing all alone with a dwarf attacking him since the start of the battle. The Magician strikes out with his black staff, hitting the dwarf but not hard enough to do any real damage. Belloc is hit once again in return, nearly knocking the Greek from the fight before any help arrives. 6 dam :?

Xenos and Taibhse continue fighting the dwarf on them, unable to bring it down yet despite its growing injuries. His counter attack misses the Warlock badly. Cyril steps back a few paces and heals himself with Azathoth's blessings.

Akhilleus spins around to attack the swarm of creeping insects, killing 2 of them outright as they advance, somehow able to avoid being bitten himself.

Kain tries to convince poor Belloc to cast his sleep spell at the approaching centipedes, even though he failed to get it off twice already while the dwarf pounds away at him. His game of tug-o-war with the dwarf proves to be somewhat futile, nearly as bad as his strike at the bugs crawling up behind him. He is bitten in return for minimal damage. 1 dam and I need a Save vs. Death, please

When the swarm advances, one bites Cyril (2 dam and I need a Death save from him as well), and the other bites at Taibhse, but misses.

I think your options are:
Fighting Withdrawal, pg 269
Half move, attack and defend
Full move, defend only
Double move, defend at -2 AC penalty and free attack for opponent


The following are optional so need DM's approval:
Conservative Fighting, pg 273
+1 AC bonus, -2 to hit penalty

Dodge, pg 273
Forfeits attack, +2 AC bonus, can be used in conjunction with 1/2 move Fighting Withdrawal

Parry and Block, pg 274
Forgoes an attack, +2AC bonus + Str to hit bonus applied to AC, can be used in conjunction with Fighting Withdrawal


If allowed your best option is either Dodge or Parry and Block used in conjunction with a 1/2 move Fighting Withdrawal.

Cyril turns just in time to feel a large insectoid form brushing up against his leg. Then it bites.

"Again! Ouch.
I don't feel so gggoood."

Save vs Death [1d20+2]=5+2=7

If he can get an attack off, Cyril will try to slam the big bug with his staff.

Melee Attack with Quarterstaff: [1d20+1]=14+1=15, damage: [1d6]=1

...more like a firm nudge than a slam or a smash really
