Okay, you determine that your position is 1 kilometer from the mine to the northeast. You have two options on getting back....go through the mine shaft again or take the hover truck and drive back to town.

It suddenly occurs to Rick that we may not have thoroughly searched the three new prisoners and will make sure to do that now. He also wants to search this area and the hover truck.

Rick is in favor of taking the hovertruck, loading the prisoners and ourselves, and head back. If the two bots and the hovertruck do not belong to the mine, but instead belonged to the bad guys, maybe we can claim them as loot.

Rick does not know how to drive a hovertruck but hopes that T-prin or Lloyd does.

YES, T'prin can drive the hover truck, and i'm claiming at least one of the bots regardless

It’s a good idea, Rick. Lloyd has the same chance as most to drive, but it is not one of his selected skills.

The bots are company property and the truck appears to be a rental from a city not too far from here. T'prin, let me know what your destination will be. As to the newer pirates, they have the following equipment: 2 laser rifles, 2 spare power clips, 2 frag grenades, three chronocoms, and a data crystal. Also, the first prisoners are no longer where you left them. It appears that they managed to wiggle free and escaped to the surface.

During that four hour period, Lloyd encourages whomever had first aid to take a look at his shrapnel wound as well as try to stabilize P2. If P2 dies, he won’t feel too badly about it, but he might be worth more alive than Dead.

Later, when Rick is stowing weapons “Rick, pass me those frags.” He will put them on two places in his bandolier. He has a decent collection going now. Before Rick stows the weapons, Lloyd will have the other weapons they pulled off the first pirates and take a look for any identifying marks, personalization, etc. in the event one of these guys has a gun mod fetish. Perhaps there are some additional clues to their identities.

“Rental truck means rental records, as well. We can find out how long this has been going on and maybe if they’d rented anything else. In the meantime, anyone want to start interrogating these three?” Or two of P2 is expired. If no one else does, he’ll do it.

Okay, pirate 2 is D.O.A. You notice that the pirates have an extra parabattery in the truck's cargo bay, so, wherever this vehicle came from is more than 1000 kilometers away.

Lloyd makes his own list, for shopping:

1. Body bags
2. Jumper cables...

He says that out loud so the other pirates can hear.

as to where we should go next, i think back to the mine entrance to see if we can spot the escapees.

He snapped a few higher quality shots of their faces. When we get close enough to send, Lloyd will transmit the images from his camera to the chronocom and the local authorities.

Is the heavy laser included with the rental or was it mounted later?

If there is a turret or some safe way to sit at the heavy laser, then Rick will ride there. He doesn't want to ride on the roof after almost falling off the train on the way here trying that stunt.

Okay, the heavy laser was added after rental as all vehicles are provided without weapons mounted on them. You can stand up from the cargo bay part of the truck and man the laser. There is a greater chance for stability this way. T'prin, the trip to the entrance of the mine takes only 30 minutes. When you get there, you see no signs of anyone nearby, however, you notice the train you came in is gone.
