Re: Adventure Section 1.0
Just FYI, guys. I will be leaving for the holiday break in a few hours so I will be unable to post anymore turns until Thursday. Merry Christmas. I will start again on Thursday!
Re: Adventure Section 1.0
Ah, okay. Then Rick will just bind up these three and sit them down somewhere where he can keep an eye on him.
He will be listening to see if Borble heard him through the cave in and, if he doesn't answer, will try him on the chronocom.
"Vigg, you be knowing anything about mining? Can we be using this laser to cut through the cave in?"

Re: Adventure Section 1.0
Lloyd curses that they were able to give their warning, but then ejects and replaces a mag. He puts the partial with the other three to consolidate later.
He tries to raise Borble on the ‘com and works with Rick to secure the captives. “Good, go take a look at the Yazirian, he fell hard.”
“Anyone else wounded? Anyone Badly?” They were without much medical help, but Lloyd had some medications.
Edit: sorry, I see that this is almost a duplicate of what Rick posted. Lloyd will support as needed, and see to his own wound.

Re: Adventure Section 1.0
Okay guys, I am back, so let's get this party started! Now, if you want to use one of the demolition charges to blow a hole in the fallen rubble, it should work. The only unknown factor would be to make sure that Borble is away from the collapsed area on the other side.
Re: Adventure Section 1.0
Rick will try again to raise Borble, both on the chronocom and by shouting through the collapse and warn him that we are going to blow a hole through the debris.
Then he will stand well back as Vigg places the charges. He will continue to keep a wary eye on the prisoners.

“Gentlesophonts, a less risky approach might be to use the robot that’s out here to help remove the blockage. Before we blow everything up, and risk killing the Dralasite we should consider this.”
OOC: Lloyd has robot skills, can the GM tell me whether the robot appears operable? I’ll make rolls as necessary. Please advise.

Against robot skill, if needed. Don’t know what level the robot is... or which subskill to apply however.

Re: Adventure Section 1.0
Lloyd, the robot is functional and you may not believe this, but you rolled EXACTLY the number needed to do the alter function skill. It will take you about 10 minutes to rewrite it's program. T'prin, you will be awake by this point. Also, there is one other robot on T'prin's side that he can try to reprogram and use it to remove rubble on your side. Borble, you happen to take notice that the pirates that were in the cart on your side have vanished!
Re: Adventure Section 1.0
While the techies are working on the bots, Rick will mostly watch the prisoners but will also take a look at the heavy laser to see if he can figure out how to operate it. He doesn't push any buttons, just looks it over.
Re: Adventure Section 1.0
((Awesome!))
When you are lucky, you can afford to be good, at least that’s what Lloyd’s mom told him over and over. The quote didn’t make much sense, but he’s glad to be able to get it done. He occasionally glances over at the vehicle, wondering how they got it here. He suggests, after he is finished with the programming looking for the road or track and setting a watch on it while the robots do their thing.

OOC: For Pete’s sake, Rick, please don’t start firing that thing all over the place! Microwave us all!MajorTom wrote:While the techies are working on the bots, Rick will mostly watch the prisoners but will also take a look at the heavy laser to see if he can figure out how to operate it. T'prin collects his wits, looks around and asks" What happened?"

T'prin will alter the second bot

Re: Adventure Section 1.0
Okay, T'prin, your alter function check was successful. After 10 minutes, the robot begins to remove rubble from the pile in front of you. The entire process will take 4 hours to open up a humanoid sized hole. Soon, everyone is reunited and you may continue with your activities.
Re: Adventure Section 1.0
Rick is concerned that the prisoners from the other side of the rockfall have disappeared. Who knows what mayhem they may be attempting. Or maybe they are just getting out of dodge.
During the 4 hours that the bots are working to clear a passage, Rick will take another look at the prisoners bonds and then step out of the cave to see where the ship took off from. He will do it cautiously in case the other prisoners managed to circle around and set up an ambush.
OOC: I may be a bit confused about the layout. I think Rick, Lloyd and Vigg are on the side where they can head outside while Borble and T-prin are behind the cave-in. If my assumptions are wrong, then I can adjust my turn. I thought we were down underground so maybe Rick can't walk outside but has access to a lift - maybe the same lift we came down in?
In any case, I think our next step is to get out with the prisoners, get back to town and report to Mr. Garret.

Re: Adventure Section 1.0
Lloyd reminds Rick, “ We did a good search and tie job on that bunch in the cave, if they got away they may have had confoederates in the mine to help them, we don't know how many are actually here at the mining project. One of the guys in the cave was Chessler, by the way. I’m thinking that several of these middle managers might be dirty.”
“We should see where we are, as well.” while the robot starts its work,Lloyd consolidates his three partial mags containing 6,7 and 7 rounds into one 20 round clip.
GM: Is there a frontier equivalent to GPS active on this moon, or can we infer our position using dead reckoning from our last known location? Can we see any haze of lights from the mine operation?
Ooc: that’s the setup as I see it, though earlier I wasn’t sure what side of the cave in the Yazirian was lying on, I was initially concerned he might have been under the rockfall, since he was unconscious.

As to a GPS tracker, you can access the hover truck and it will give you a location readout, but it will be in actual coordinates as in latitude, longitude. Everyone can make intuition checks to see if you can get a bearing on your location.
