We could try that. Smart, but I have my doubts... btb, the Witch's link with her familiar (unlike the Magician) should work over any distance. Possibly Skavi is now on a different plane (à la 1e) or something is blocking the telempathy. (If this were two-way radio, think a lead box or faraday cage). In either case, Magda's geographical position on Hyperborea wouldn't matter :(

That is my take on the familiar situation as well.

I am assuming that, instead of walking around in the dark, PC's light up another torch once their old flame sputters out.

I am not going to be petty about tracking things like food, ammo, or other important supplies, however.

If you'd like to deduct a few items over time to allow for more in-game realism, please feel free to do so.

Got it, I just wanted to note it because it wasn't on the summary for Sik along with the other light sources.

Didn't want Sik jumping off into total darkness there. ;)

Oh, gotcha.

I totally misunderstood what you were getting at there.

I will fix that right now so he can see better and doesn't stub his toe on a rock.

I'm happy to keep track of my own expendables as long as I have a rough idea of how much time has passed.

A torch lasts 1-2 hours and a flask of lantern oil 6 hours. Since coming down here, I take it we're some time in between? :)

I would think it was a little longer than that, but since you actually have no idea how much time is really passing, I am fine with an estimated guess every so often.

Two week holiday in Crete. I'll be able to post regularly, but just in case I don't, feel free to NPC my character.

Just wondering what the situation is with Drest now at kind of a meta level - is he just in limbo until we decide to go get him?

I'm willing to go find him, or we can abandon him to his fate (I have a feeling it's not good) but I just don't want to leave the player, Rex, in the dark while our characters dither about for a few RL weeks exploring new parts of the dungeon. And to be honest we have no idea where he is, so who knows when we'll find him.

Unless something is happening in the background we're unaware of?

Yes, things are happening "in the background" in private.

Rex is still active, though his PC's actions are now happening about an hour behind those of the group, so I am guessing that will lead to issues eventually as well.

I am not willing to elaborate any further than that.
